HOT TEA LEGACY PART 2!!
----------------
We now move on to the life of the heir of the challenge, Ebony Hope.
But before we get into her story, there has been an update to my personal rules for the challenge, as well as for the world.
The Hope family bloodline has a dedicated Cemetery. The only family members that will be included are siblings, children, and grandchildren of the heir, those with last name “Hope”, and those who have married into the family.
As long as they are in Julia’s family tree, and/or if they have the last name “Hope”, then they are automatically in. However..
If a sim gets divorced from a Hope, (which will happen during this challenge), they are considered to be “leaving the family”. Meaning they will lose the last name Hope, and will not have a headstone in the family graveyard.
Anyways!! Let’s get to Gen 2!!
Hot Tea Legacy made by @lxdice
----------------
GEN 2:
Ebony Hope (She/They) was born to Julia Hope (She/They) and Hiroto Watanabe (He/Him). She was raised in her Mother's bakery by a single Julia, as Hiroto had cheated on her, and moved into his new partner's house to raise their twins. Ebony would later learn of this, and admire her mother for being so headstrong when she felt so hopeless. When Julia's new partner, Aziz Nadir (He/Him), moved in, he treated Ebony as kind as he could, helping Julia during Ebony's toddler days as he too had a son, although Aziz didn't admit this to Julia until after he moved out. Caleb came into the world, and Ebony found her first best friend. Ebony spent a lot of time talking to the infant, and gained a strong bond as they grew. This was something Julia was immensely glad to have happen, for her kids to get along. Before she became a child, Julia introduced Elliot to the household. Elliot practically became her mentor on the spot. Helping Ebony find her footing and helping her gain all the necessary skills. Elliot had helped to raise his younger siblings, and thus had a good idea of how to help around the household before marrying into the growing family. Ebony rarely got to see her biological father. He never came to visit, he wouldn't open his door when she would go to visit, and he would never asked for a custody weekend despite Julia and Hiroto setting up that system. He would show up to birthday parties, but they would never get to talk, and he would never get her a gift, which dampened their relationship. Thus, Elliot became more of a father to her, in her eyes. As a child, Ebony found herself entranced by a birthday gift from her Aunt Cleo (mother's best friend), who gifted her with a doctor's set. Ebony would spend hours playing with it. From performing routine check-ups on her dolls, to giving "surgery" to Caleb's Teddy bear when the bear got ripped up during playtime. Ebony felt like she had found her passion, in making people feel healthy and happy. She gained a passion for education, and spent a long time perfecting her homework, and thanks to Elliot's guidance and mentorship, got to get the highest grades in her class.

ALT
(Caleb and Ebony during her Birthday Party).
As a teen, Ebony was so far ahead in her academic studies than her classmates, that she got offered to graduate early within her second week of education, which she gladly accepted, so she could attend Nursing School. (mods yippie). She graduated with a pretty standard score on her final test, and going into adulthood, had a much higher position given to her when applying to become a Doctor. Effectively living her dream. She moved out to a quiet neighbourhood in Tomarang, in hopes to try and gain a relationship with her biological father and his new family. She moved into a nice apartment and adopted a cat she would name Pumpkin. She also adopted a pretty pink aesthetic. (think Legally Blonde but in the medical field).

ALT
(Pumpkin, the Cutest lil Princess) During her first week on the job, she got to know a load of her co-workers, but got very close to a surgeon named Braxton Malloy (He/Him). He was a charming man who could practically treat a patient with his eyes closed.. but he wouldn't because.. well.. that would cost him a job haha.
By the end of her first week, Braxton asked her out on a date. The two had a wonderful night, and Ebony felt like she was on cloud nine.
After a while of going back and forth, the two eventually became romantic partners, and Ebony would find herself pregnant. She decided to host a Work Dinner, to get to know her co-workers better, and announce her pregnancy.. however.. there was an unexpected guest.. Braxton's wife, Rachel Malloy (She/Her). Rachel was a snooty upcoming actress who Braxton would later admit, he married for the money, and because his parent's demanded it. And funnily enough, she was also expecting.
Angered by the revelation, Ebony announced the pregnancy and who the father was, which lead to a fight between her and Rachel. Braxton managed to calm them down, and Rachel gave him an ultimatum. A life with Ebony, or a life with Her... and unfortunately for Ebony.. Braxton chose Rachel.
A heartbroken Ebony would give birth to twin girls, with her mother by her side at the hospital. She would name them Jolene (The Gen 3 Heir) and Jamie. She would refuse Braxton come visit her during labour, even though he tried.
While the girls were toddlers, Ebony found herself rushing after many promotions, and climbing up the ranks as quickly as possible. She put most of her time into her work, and have Julia and Elliot look after the kids. Refusing to acknowledge her feelings until Julia sat down and talked with her, a much needed heart-to-heart.
A few days later, Ebony and Braxton bumped into each other in the hallway of the hospital. He had moved into a different sector, and was in her department to visit Rachel, who was pregnant again. The two had a brief reconcile, before Braxton offered to take Ebony on a repair date, as he told her that he and Rachel had gotten a divorce shortly after her recent pregnancy. Ebony agreed, only for the sake of her children to see their father, seeing as he was at least trying. However.. unbeknownst to Ebony, Braxton had lied. He was still married, but wanted to divorce Rachel. His mother forbid him to do so, as she wanted to continue her life of luxury. But, this wasn't for Ebony to know.
He would start to visit his children at least once a week, and the two would have frequent hook-ups, not wanting to jump into a serious relationship just yet.

ALT
(from left to right). Ebony and her kids, Jolene and Jamie.
Fed up with her own father constantly ignoring her, and with a high paying job, Ebony decided to move to a pretty penthouse in Ciudad Enamorada. She rarely went out in her backyard, so she made it a fun playground for her kids.. so they could mostly leave her alone to her studies. There was even an accessible rooftop she put a basketball field on, just because she could. At this point, her kids just.. exist to her. Not really bothering to connect with them as she wanted to focus on her careers instead, so they were very independent. As long as Jolene and Jamie didn't bother her, she would take them out to ice skate, parties with their friends on the weekends... only for her to bring some workbooks and EarPods along. She even bought them a second cat, Oreo.
In Ebony's mind, as long as the kids have food, water, clothes and shelter, she doesn't need to do much else. Just throw a bit of money to the kids every once in a while and they leave her alone. When her kids were.. well.. kids.. their dad came back into the picture. Braxton and Ebony got back together after Braxton ran away from home, and the two got married as soon as possible. They also decided to have another baby. A little boy they named Charlie Hope (He/Him).
However, as soon as Ebony found herself pregnant again, Braxton cheated on her with a neighbour. A heart broken Ebony divorced him on the spot, only to find that he and his new girlfriend passed from a house fire a few days later.
Ebony grew more and more distant with her children. Leaving them to take care of Charlie on their own. When Jolene became a Teenager, he came out as Joen Hope (He/Him). Ebony paid for the surgeries, as for him to not nag her, but blew a gasket as soon as she found out that Joen had a.. fling.. with his childhood best friend, Lillie Brooks (She/Her), and found himself pregnant.
An angry Ebony kicked Joen out with nothing. Leading to him and Lillie living in an insanely run down motel. Upon discovering this, Jamie gave a bit of her earnings to Joen. She stole most of her mother's money, and moved out with Charlie, to live with her girlfriend, Tanya Tolk (She/Her) on a ranch she recently purchased.
Ebony remarried to a fling she met at a bar, now named Vanessa Hope (She/They), and lives in her old apartment with her new wife. Not entirely in love with her, but Ebony pushed everyone away, that not even her kids wanted to know her, and had no relationship with any of her now grandchildren.
At least she now has at least one person who will stay by her side. She has many regrets on how she treated her children.. and they don't forgive her. They never had a mom.. just a mother. And now she reaps what she sewed.
(Maybe she can gain back a relationship with her estranged family in this future? That's for Gen 3 and their family to decide)
---------------
Next, we will go to Gen 3. Who now goes by Joen Hope (He/Him). Ebony's Eldest Child.
HOT TEA LEGACY CHALLENGE
So.. I may have forgotten to post the First Gen of this legacy Challenge, but.. I am currently halfway through the Second, so.. let me tell you the story so far. (Also, this is my first legacy challenge.)
I have also set myself some extra rules. Something small but..
- The first born of each generation will ALWAYS be the heir
- Anyone who marries into the family has to change their last name, no matter their status. (This one is for me to keep track of who is in the family). So everyone becomes a “Hope”.
Hot Tea Legacy made by @lxdice ----------------
GEN 1: This story starts with Julia Hope (She/They). A talented Woman with the biggest Sweet tooth in existence, with an even sweeter heart, yet, somehow falling in love wayyy to easily with bad people who hurt her. A day before the grand opening of her Bakery, "Big Bite Bakery & Boba", Julia met a man named Hiroto Watanabe (He/Him). They met after Julia got invited out to a club by her best friend, Cleo. Hiroto was a part-time DJ while working for the Police. A heavy night of laughter and love got Julia pregnant with her first child, a girl she would name Ebony (The Gen 2 heir). Upon learning of the pregnancy, they decided that Hiroto would move into her apartment above the bakery, and take care of their daughter while Julia would start-up her buisness, finally getting it off the ground and earning it's first star.
During their daughter's infancy, Julia met a writer named Aziz Nadir (He/Him), after he came in during his break to savour the sweet treats the bakery had in store. Julia felt immediate attraction to him. That night, she had a long talk with Hiroto, where he confessed he got a woman named Vanesha pregnant with Twins, and that he would be moving in with her, seeing as Julia was well off with the bakery. A heart broken Julia threw her engagement ring away, and set her sights on Aziz... not knowing that she was the other woman, and that Aziz was married. (Forgot to take a pic of them, so sorry).
After their 1st date, Julia found herself pregnant with her second child, Caleb. Seeing as there was a way out for him not to deal with the consequences back home, Aziz quickly moved in with Julia, who didn't know that his wife was pregnant with his triplets. Their relationship didn't last long, as Julia caught Aziz flirting with the nurse, while she was in labour. (This was somehow Automatically done. I had no control over him doing that). After a while of raising two kids on her own, with a somehow thriving bakery below her, Julia found herself meeting a talented but down on their luck person named Elliot Koopman (He/They) , who had just lost their fast food job. With no desire to carry on his parents' pottery business, he was kicked out. Julia decided to give them a chance at the Boba Tea Counter. The two talked often, and eventually, the beautiful spark between them formed. Julia experienced the first slow burn love she ever got to experience. And seeing how Elliot was so kind and loving to her kids, she could imagine the rest of her life with them. So.. they got married. And Elliot took Julia's last name.
It wasn't long before Julia found herself pregnant again with her third child. Malachi. And later, a fourth they would name Bonnie.
(left to right). Malachi, Ebony and Caleb.
Life was amazing. The Bakery became a thriving success, all because of the Amazing baking duo of Julia and Elliot. Along with their helpful employees, Ollie Mark and Karmine Mark, a cute but very young married couple with a child of their own. Eventually Julia's family grew up. Ebony (She/They) would find herself fascinated with the medical world. Caleb (He/Him) would grow to have the same passion for baking as Julia and Elliot, thus inheriting the bakery once she and Elliot went into retirement, and Elliot becoming Caleb's mentor. Malachi (He/They) would grow into a very famous musician with a big city apartment. And Bonnie (They/Them) would find a love for painting and all things creative, while also loving the quiet suburban life. Elliot and Julia would retire and move away to a smaller neighbourhood, but found their passion for baking and serving up smiles never left. So, together, they adopted several cats: Noodle, Daisy, Cinnamon, Mango, Toffee and Cosmo. The two decided to open a Cat Cafe that doubled as a bakery, named "Hopeful Kitties".
(from left to right). Julia and her children. Malachi, Caleb, Bonnie and Ebony.
Her kids found love as well. Caleb would marry his childhood best friend, Jenny Bheeda (They/She), and would have 5 kids together: Holly, Elijah, Finn, Skylar and Nikolai. Malachi would go on to marry Melody Mark (She/Her), the daughter of two of Julia's previous employees, Ollie and Karmine Mark. They would have 3 kids: Mollie, Madeline and Marcus. Bonnie found love with the child of a sea witch, named Hunter Li (They/Them), they would go on to have 4 kids: Lloyd, Candy, Lucas and Phoebe. And as for Ebony.. well... That's for the next Generation. (will continue tomorrow cause i eepy now :3)

Also, it was confirmed that Empanada’s death was unintentional. Not only has this been stated from the staff, but also, you can see it in the actual fight scene. The worker that killed Empanada went still, and you’re able to tell that behind their monitor, they are just staring in pure shock and guilt. Even letting others fight them without said admin fighting back for a long while.
The death was not meant to happen, and I advocate for the reinstatement of Empanada’s second life. As well as Pepito’s. Both weren’t fair in different ways.
I personally believe that death by a mob or player shouldn’t count towards an egg death anymore. They are key members of the QSMP and should be allowed to keep playing without having to take it easy. But.. we could still keep the life system in place for the eggs for cookies just to complete the happiness cookie bounties.
This way: there’s initiative for players and eggs to log on, and let them have something to do outside of building or PvPing. As well as allowing the eggs to have independence too, because they don’t have to be with their assigned parent to complete tasks. That way, everyone is happy while playing the game.
Pepito's and Em's death are not the same, hugh, okay, let's play this game. Arguments of why Pepito's death should be reconsider:
Pepito and Roier were lagging. They had always had lag problems and that day was a bad lag day.
On the previous day, there was a bug off camera that broke the camera, making it not possible to save him with the enderpearl
Could Pepito's death being avoided after Pepito was downed? The arguments for that:
Roier knew he was lagging and didn't thought of calling anybody else to go with him, if he had called someone maybe they could have helped.
He could have send the cords of the dungeon in chat which might have allowed the other players to save Pepito.
Bad, Richas or even Bagi(that saw Pepito didn't have a pearl in the chamber) could have reminded Pepito to put the pearl earlier that day, consideraring the incident of the camera.
Arguments of why Em's death should be reconsider:
She was lagging all day. Em has a history of lagging. That day was particularly bad.
The eye workers were so over powered even players like Fit and Philza were not able to fight them. They had overpowered items that no player was allowed to even get it. The players could have not won a fight with them.
Em was not allowed to tp. She was being tped back, and then was lassoed why the workers so she couldn't tp at all.
Her death was a literal hitkill, the same shot that downed her, killed her, there was no time for any player could have saved her.
Could Em's death being avoided after she was downed?
No, she was killed in one hit
Arguments for not recovering Em's death?
Lore that neither her or her mother were initially involved in, that went absolutly nowhere. This lore was discontinued and Em's death had no purpose.
Yeah, I guess their deaths were not the same

q!fit thinks that q!pac is simply choosing to stay blind to all his red flags when q!pac is in fact being very conscious of all of them.
we know fit's red flags are related to his emotional repression, insecurities and inability to address his own feelings. but that's exactly what pac has always been mindful of.
even when they were flirting around and pac seemed to be aware that there were romantic feelings between them, he wasn't ever pushing fit to go further he was ready for. he was being patient, calling them roommates when fit did, saying they're taking baby steps after fit had mentioned it the first time. he waited for fit to confess, then waited for the proclamation that they were dating and now is probably waiting for the first kiss too. he'd made sure that the quest from quacki was only a forehead kiss even if that was never specified in her request.
that's exactly the kind of attitude fit needs before he starts coming out of his shell. because fit is the kind of person who will do anything for pac. he takes an utter importance in making sure that pac is feeling well, has got everything he needs, has a helping hand always ready and knows that he's strong even on his own. those are the kinds of prospects which pac could absolutely use to push fit's boundaries and make him do things that fit doesn't want to, but would oblige if pac asked. this is an issue that comes out of many relationships for people like fit. a lot of the time their partners don't even do it consciously, it's simply easy to fall into the habit of expecting your partner to do everything you ask if they never establish their boundaries and you never consider to read between the lines instead of taking every "yes" at a face value. but pac never does that. pac is aware that fit needs patience so he automatically assumes to wait for fit to do something first without even asking about it.
and whenever pac is acting dramatic around fit he makes it clear that he was just joking after. he doesn't do it because he wants fit to feel obligated to prove that he cares for his feelings, but because he trusts him enough to seek reassurance from him. and he does it in silly ways because neither of them (and especially fit) are too confident in having serious conversations about their real feelings. baby steps, as they say.
so no, pac isn't colourblind, he's just purchased some paint and is now working on recolouring those red flags in different shades :)
and sure, i do hope that one day they'll get to the point when they feel comfortable voicing out their feelings, wishes and issues without beating around the bush. but they're on the right track and working on it instead of pretending that everything is perfect for them and i think that's enough for now.

ramon gave fit and pac rings to exchange but instead of exchanging them they just tried to put them on (it would have to go in the chestplate slot so fit at least isn't going to wear it) and this was one chatter's immediate reaction
