Many people around the world are feeling confused, stressed and very, very frightened during these uncertain times.  I have listened and am aware of the tremendous state of fear most people are experiencing as they try to continue living their lives with an emerging, rapidly expanding situation involving a coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19).  Most are following, best they can, the recommendations made by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's (CDC) of how to protect themselves, their loved ones and others.  I am currently becoming more and more aware that there is no treatment available at this time and in this country there is no adequate or reliable testing available either.  Our government, here in USA, have indicated the "cure" is in vaccination.  To prevent disease by vaccination.  Apparently, a vaccine may take more than a year to develop and become available to the public. Over time it has become clear that vaccines come with a variety of risks and can be harmful to some children and adults.  What is amazing to me is that we receive little or no information from the CDC encouraging everybody to build and support their immune system.  As a Holistic Practitioner, I find that odd, strange and outrageous.I am a wellness professional who has spent over 25 years exploring, with never ending curiosity, the energy-field of the human body, also known as the body-field.  I have experienced, embraced information and pursued many energy healing modalities. I earned my BSc degree at the unique and highly respected Barbara Brennan School of Healing.  At BBSH I received knowledge, experience and training in an enlightening system of healing,  From that point on I found myself drawn to several leading-edge tools, programs and services that help people become well, stay well, thrive, strengthen their immune system and increase vitality and energy.  As a NES Health Practitioner I provide services in the emerging field of bioenergetics.  This means assessing and correcting the body's energy and communication systems.  Doing this improves the body's own ability to heal and stay healthy.  I repeat: Doing this improves the body's ability to heal and stay healthy.  So let us briefly explore one of the energetic pathways in our body that affect our immune system.

It is not a new idea that there are such things as energetic environments within our body that can host pathogens.  For instance, homeopathy has offered a theory that there are energetic pathways/terrains as well as chemical ones in the body, but homeopathic theory links these energy terrains only to vaguely defined groups of toxins and microbes.

In the NES model of the body-field, an Energetic Terrain goes much further, linking specific microbes or families of microorganisms with specific tissues and providing an explanation of energetic pathology to explain how disease may develop in the body.  In the NES model an Energetic Terrain is the result of an energetic disturbance that caused body tissues to become suitable environments for microbes--to become a host.  

So what causes these energy disturbances?  First, the body-field must have become weakened and lost energy and strength.  This can happen for any number of reasons including genetic damage, geopathic stress, over exposure to elecromagnetic and other types of energy fields, overuse of certain kinds of pharmaceuticals, emotional stress and so on.  When the body's energy field becomes weakened a breakdown can occur in cell functioning which affects the state of the surrounding tissue or the entire organ. This damage changes the energetic environment of the body generally or specific tissues making them more suitable for hosting microbes.  Microbes are tiny living things living in water, soil and in the air.  Some microbes make us sick, others are important for our health.  The most common types are bacteria, viruses and fungi.
