My mom's a nurse. My mom was a nurse for 20 years. [...] She came over on Sunday night and she told me this last particular episode [of The Pitt] that aired was triggering in a way she didn't anticipate and she actually remembered a lot of people that passed on her table as she was watching it. I don’t know what to share about my life anymore to get people’s attention. We are a family of ten trying to survive in northern Gaza. Our landlord keeps increasing our rent, and we will be at the mercy of the drones and the tanks if we have to leave, on top of having to leave behind all of our belongings. Every kind of food at the market now costs a fortune and there are no jobs available due to the dangerous situation outside, so we have to fully rely on this campaign.

This is a drawing my friend made of me with my dearest sister Soso, who is only four years old and has already suffered so much in her short life. Two wars have come close to killing her and barely had time to know happiness. I want to make it more bearable for her, but I can’t do it alone.

one of the funniest things about cooper howard is he let the wool be pulled over his eyes for years by vault tech (lost acting roles over supporting them, did commercials for them) all because his wife said so (he really really loved his wife) but the second he found out his dog wouldn’t be allowed in the vaults he was like wait a damn minute hold up hold on hell NO!!!! and committed espionage to listen in on a top secret meeting between the most powerful people in the world. he could allow corrupt capitalist doomsday fear tactics because his girl said so but not liking dogs is where he drew the damn line

ok but whitaker being unhoused puts so many things into perspective. when he asks kiara if they get a lot of homeless around here and it seems like he’s just being curious but really he’s trying to suss out whether he’s an outlier or not. how quickly he backs down and removes all the PPE shit he was wearing when he’s talking to mr. krakozhia, and how quickly he volunteers for the street team. the way he offers to PERSONALLY bring krakozhia his meds every month. he’s carrying around this big secret and it’s clear he feels a level of shame/embarrassment about it. he doesn’t even come out and say he’s unhoused when santos finds and confronts him. but he goes in for his first day of ED rotation and quickly learns just how many resources are out there for people in his same situation. and instead of asking for help for himself he decides to do as much as possible to help OTHERS. all while getting sprayed with piss and blood and catching rats. who is doing it like him

The Pitt has every character I could ever wish for:

-Competent fatherly figure who is two minutes away from a mental break. Representation for guys who stare into mirrors while have ptsd episodes

-His relatively unhinged hyper competent friend who belongs on a battlefield probably .

-A third beautiful hyper competent doctor who keeps getting beat with hammers by the universe when she tries to smile.

-Efficient and hardworking single mom with beautiful blunt bangs. And threatens her deadbeat baby daddy

-the most beautiful princess Diana in the world who keeps getting reprimanded for being too good with patients. They literally said ohhhh pretty girl let’s hate on her

-mean cocky lesbian who threatens pedophiles. Only been there seven hours and already has an age gap toxic situationship yuri thing with another doctor. I live

-autistic queeny who’s actually proving to be the #1 communicator and caretaker in the whole hospital. Pure of soul and mind. Keeps following her resident around like a puppy dog

-said resident who only likes his little autistic intern. Has crazzzyyyy beef with the mean lesbian. Is also stealing pills from the hospital. Love his vibes

-child prodigy med student who is also on the verge of a breakdown. Intellectual prowess but has absolutely no game. Makes sense bc she’s 20. needs to yell at her mom
