This is my opinion as well! I'm DYING to know how that conversation went down between Eve and Charlie though. I imagine Eve didn't like having to reject Charlie despite knowing that Charlie would be back.

Okay okay okay, so I've just been percolating on the Guardian Trials that Charlie went through bc of my current fanfic, but like. We know from the end of And the Con-Con that people start forgetting about the Library really quickly. Like it happens almost immediately for Pedro. We also know that Charlie didn't forget the Library after she failed the Guardian Trial because she got the call from Stone and still remembered (which is mentioned in Deadly Drekavac, Ghost Train, Memory Crystal and maybe more).

It's clear to me that Charlie didn't pass the Guardian Trial because she wasn't meant for the old Librarians, she was meant for the new ones. That's why she didn't forget, because the Library planned to have her back all along. (Ray knows all, lol).

But I do want to know if Eve knew that the Library was going to bring Charlie back. Did Eve have some kind of insider knowledge or did she really not think that Charlie was ready.

Also, I kinda have the feeling that Charlie wasn't ready. I think she wasn't independent or confident in herself as a person. I also think she wasn't ready to open up to people (like her telling Connor "my job is to protect you, not share in Dance of Doom). And, as we know from the og show, Guardians are also there to protect Librarians' souls, and you can't do that if you don't open yourself up to them. That was what Charlie was missing, and what she's learning as she works more and more with Vikram, Connor, and Lysa.

But regardless of Charlie being ready or not, I still want to know if Eve knew that the Library had greater plans for Charlie and if she knew what those plans would be.
