Pumpkin Speech

Hello everyone, Are you one of those many people who love Halloween and just enjoy the night of horror, scare, costumes and sweets? Well, have you ever thought how others could feel about it? Not human. I am talking about the pumpkins. Have you ever thought how the pumpkins are feeling on that, for us special, day? Do you even know how much they suffer on that night? Thousands of pumpkins suffer from depression. A trauma is also not such a rare thing. After all, they are tortured brutally only for Halloween. For us! Their organs are taken out every year, without even an anesthesia. Being stabbed with a knife and getting body parts cut out. You might think, that only because pumpkins do not have a face or a normal heart like we have, they do not have any feelings. But that's the point where you are mistaken. Pumpkins have feelings. They do. So we can not just treat them like we want. Only because we want to have fun on that day, we are doing it at the expense of the pumpkins. We put them outside in the freezing night, letting them alone while putting a candle inside them, make them burn, only because it looks good. For us! I think it that it is time to do something in return for our little orange friends. They have the right to experience the same kindness which they are giving us. We should prepare them for the special night, since they only suffer because we want to have fun. We shoukd support and help them, like they supported and helped us. So, what should we do? One big problem we have to solve is the depression, that every 3rd pumpkin is suffering from. Why is that? Because they are already born with the feeling that they might die soon. But it is not like they are getting eaten. It is because they hear, under what torture they will find their death. They heard it from other pumpkins who survived since they where just not orange enough or there was something else, that was wrong with them. With their unfortunately true horror stories they drive the other pumpkins to despair. So the first thing is, that we should build a survival hospital to treat all the traumatised pumpkins which survived, and help them to find something they can enjoy. Help them to forget. The second thing I insist on, is the creation of psychotherapy for pumpkins who will be a part of Halloween. Of course, not every pumpkin will be a part of it. Others might get eaten the normal way. That should be said from the beginning so that those pumpkins who have the luck of getting eaten normally can relax. Another thing to make it easier for our little, orange friends, is that we should not put them outside in the darkness all alone. Being a pumpkin-friend or just a pumpkin who experiences the same would make it much more bearable to be in that kind of situation. So, to make it clear once again. It is time to give back what we have got. It is time to pay our bill. They have earned it. Don't see them as a vegetable, see them as a friend. A little, round, orange friend. ~♡~♡~♡~♡~♡~♡~♡~♡~ I made that speech as a homework for my English class. I wanted to make it funny... I hope you like it 😇
