Ahhhh im so excited to post what i wrote for Chex week! I’ll update later but finally crawling out of hiatus

Chex week 2025 prompts and dates!

At last we have the official prompt list for this year’s Chex week which will be taking place from August 24th to the 30th!

Day 1: Secret/Mystery

A twofer?? That’s right we’re starting Chex week with a fun little double prompt! There are many secrets and mysteries to be explored within Chex and their story. Tex discovering who she is, the mysteries of Project Freelancer, the alpha hidden away… or maybe Caboose just wants to throw them a surprise party

Day 2: Date Night

Between all the angst and tragedy what does a calm little date night look like for our doomed duo? Is it a rare moment of quiet for them? Does it get crashed by a certain group of red and blue idiots? Or maybe it’s a moment long forgotten between a man and the woman he loved before things went so wrong.

Day 3: Message

So much to say, so little time to say it. A solemn goodbye, a desperate plea, maybe a letter from one lost at war, or perhaps an angry recording left behind because someone didn’t do the dishes when it was their turn.

Day 4: Board Games

Pawns to be used in a game, controlled by forces much bigger than them. Or perhaps the only thing that can end a relationship faster than being doomed by the narrative is a game of monopoly.

Day 5: Reflections

A reflection of a once great love, simply pieces of what came before. A memory that lingers, the contemplation of your actions, a realization of what it all meant.

Day 6: Role Swap

What if it was Allison who survived, and Church always brought back, trapped in a cycle he did not choose? What if Tex was the alpha, would things have ended differently?

Day 7: Dream/Simulation

Dreams of a once happy family, simulations where you’re always doomed to fail, memories that feel like dreams, the simulations of memories, and do AI dream of electric sheep

And with that we have the official prompt list for Chex week 2025! All submitted by fans! Y’all are so creative I never would’ve come up with some of these! And of course you are free to interpret the prompts however you want, you can be fun and silly or angsty and sad. Be super literal with them or get metaphorical with it! The sky’s the limit!

Just like last year any and all content is allowed: art, fics, songs, meta, analysis, memes, edits, etc etc. My only rule is ABSOLUTELY NO AI GENERATED CONTENT ALLOWED.

The way I view Chex is that Church knows Tex doesn’t like pickles. So when Church orders them take out, he always asks for no pickles. Then he’ll double check before he gets home to make sure Tex’s meal doesn’t have pickles. Now, Church ALSO doesn’t like pickles. And Tex knows this, so when she gets them dinner she won’t order him pickles. Unless he asks for no pickles, then she’ll get him extra pickles. Just to piss him off. When he throws a bitch fit she’ll call him a baby and trade him burgers. Then she’ll eat the burger with the mountain of pickles while he enjoys his without. Could they just pick them off? Yes. But they won’t. Because it’s not about pickles. I’m not sure what it’s about but obsessing over this type of relationship at a formative age has had outstanding repercussions on my adult dating life.

Locus saves Washington and Carolina from Temple's trophy room, and finds his helmet's filter isn't working properly.

THE FIC HAS BEEN POSTED

I'M SO SORRY but it was completely derailed from the idea you had, and is now just a drabble/character study of Locus! Very obviously it's just a meditation on my childhood, but I hope it's still enjoyable!

Okay so like season 15 when locus saves wash and lina but when he goes to put wash down wash just like won't let go and they can't pry him off locus so he just goes to save the reds n blues with wash stuck on him like a koala and no one can get him off anyways this has been brewing in my brain for forever but I fear I do not possess the artistic nor linguistic ability to bring it to life

Bad news: I just dumped an entire cup of airport coffee on my laptop. She may be dead 😭

Good news: I just bought a desktop and will have to be up all night anyways. Meaning this has about 4 more hours to stew in my brain before I’ll even be able to type. On top of that, I will be stressing severely over my laptop, and every long fic I’ve ever written has been an outlet for extreme stress in my life.

This is a funny prompt but by god this manic episode will find a way to make it ANGST

Ahhh I’m so glad you liked it!!! This was so much fun to write, ngl I had to HEAVILY EDIT it because I realized it got so NorthTucker centric. Like a switch flipped in my brain and I realized I was a NorthTucker fan, so I had to return to the churchnorth prompt. But yesss underrated theme is North’s toxic positivity! You don’t get a sister like South without contributing to her enviorment! I always do him as someone who would talk down to in a ‘gentle parent’ way, and he’s like that with Theta, so having him face to face with everything he’s NOT (a snarky asshole) that has everything he WANTS (fatherhood and a genuine army of good people that loves him) was fun

IM OFF TOPIC AGAIN IN SORRY But the NorthChurch aspect was soooo fun to write!!! I never really considered them before, but their temperaments were so fun to play with and I loved using church as a mouthpiece for calling out North’s toxic positivity.
