My name is Eyad Sami.

I have been married to Amal Mahmoud for thirteen years, and we have four children: Sami, Mohammad, Sarah, and Saad. We are from Palestine, specifically the Gaza Strip, which has been under siege for over eighteen years.

Now, we no longer have a home, and my family lives in a refugee school in the Al-Zaytoun area of northern Gaza, while I live in a tent in Deir al-Balah. I haven't seen my children or my wife for over eight months. My children and wife are suffering from continuous bombing, lack of resources to live in peace, and a shortage of food and water. Here, I am enduring severe psychological and physical pressures due to my inability to be with them and meet their needs.

I ask anyone who reads my story to look upon us with compassion and help me raise even a small amount of money so that we can leave this country and find a safe place to live. We seek a country that offers us safety and a decent life, far from wars, genocide, and lack of security. We need shelter, food, water, education, and healthcare for me and my family.

i don't know if it's propaganda or just unlucky people but seeing de- transition people telling how bad it was made me back off..

hey, definitely happy to share my experiences but ofc just take them w a grain of salt since everyone is different and this is ultimately about what makes you happy.

Take some time to really think about it. Something I've heard ppl talk about is think about growing old and how you imagine yourself to be--would you be happy as you are now, or do you feel like it makes more sense another way (ie, having transitioned or gotten surgery at that point etc)? Thats just one of like a million things to think about since it definitely is a big decision.

For me it's just what felt natural and like what I needed to do to be happy. I never felt attached or connected to my body prior to transitioning. However I think there's also a lot of stigma around doubt and being unsure. It's ok to never be completely sure, I feel like no one ever truly is completely sure about anything. Just be in tune w yourself and how you're feeling. Take time and don't feel like you need to rush. If you're scared right now it's probably not the right time, but if you feel drawn to it you don't need to completely brush it off. Detrans stuff freaks me out too and I'm like half a decade into my transition so I get what you're feeling lol. I'd honestly stay away from that kind of stuff if it makes you feel bad, and just focus on you!

does it hurt removing top surgery? how was your life after? any advice for post recovery?

For me personally I didn't have a lot of pain in recovery but I also had a less "invasive" form of surgery (I had keyhole), but it was def sore and kind of hard to move for the week after when you have drains in. I will say what I hated most about immediate recovery was that I couldn't shower for a week until they took the drains and bandages off 🥲 I would def recommend like having someone help u to wash ur hair, and maybe using a wash rag to clean yourself up as much as possible bc it starts to feel rly icky a few days in! My best advice overall is to just have someone that can help u out, it makes the biggest difference. Wishing you the best feel free to reach out if you need any other specific advice :)

I have actual top surgery scars and am a grown ass trans man you fucking dip 😭 I deal with gender dysphoria every single day of my life and making art like this helps me. Hope you find something that helps you too.
