I changed her poor eyesight out for a broken wing because it didn’t make sense for her to be stuck in Pelican town even tho she can just get glasses then fly away.

So basically, a storm destroyed her home on a sky island that was isolated from the entire world due to her (forced)* desire to be alone, and the winds struck her with a bit of debris, crash landing her in the forests of Pelican town.

After getting bandaged up by Harvey, she realised she was stuck in Pelican town with no home, therefore forcing her to sleep in the nearby woods. However after many doctor appointments due to wild animal attacks and common colds from the elements, Harvey offered her to stay with him.

Not only did this benefit her, he also had a few benefits of his own such as Chelsea being a surprisingly good cook which saved him from convenience food hell-

After a while of staying with Harvey, she feels guilty for not helping with rent (after learning about what taxes are from Lewis when he stopped by) so she got a job at Pierre’s shop, letting him spend more time with his family. Now with an allowance of her own, she delve right back into her arts and crafts that she used to make that calmed her mind from the silence that came with isolation.

The townsfolk do not seem to appreciate Chelsea’s awkwardness and lack of social skills, finding her to be too quiet. But she does her very best to keep track of everyone’s favourite things so she can make them crafty gifts for them and get on their good sides!

However the townsfolk record seeing Chelsea follow Harvey around a lot…

*her forced desire to be isolated from society stemmed from the fact she was snatched away from her nest by a wild storm. Being alone as a kid really disturbed her as she had no real sense of direction in the world. However when she found a place where Harpies thrive, she tried to include herself but her lack of identity and social awareness turned the heads of others. She ached for a connection but she had to learn that no one wanted her around for a reason she couldn’t explain to herself. Ultimately, she decided to leave, finding a desolate sky island to make her home and figuring she never had to worry about connections ever again

Introducing Chelsea!!

She’s a female harpy who is unable to fly long distances due to her poor eyesight. This had caused her to be stuck hanging around Pelican Town.

She often finds herself stuck in bushes, trees or ditches. Lucky for her, her multicoloured feathers make it easy for people to spot her when she’s in trouble.

Her accident-prone character has ended her up with multiple consultations with Harvey who beckons her to be more careful👀

(I dont have her full backstory figured out yet and her design might change)

(mainly because Haru was forced to be his friend when they were kids- but luckily they got along… sort of… Haru’s father was just glad he didn’t hear any complaints from parents about his daughter beating up the other kids)
