Week 8-9 (Part 2) cont’d

More shots. Tumblr wouldn’t let me add more to the previous post since there’s apparently a limit per post. Added a additional gradient test to multiple shots to get a idea of it how the keylight tool works/

Week 8-9 (Part 2)

Before i do anything, here’s the other two background tests. i might do further tests this week to see if I need to make such changes. So far, I like the gradient background tbh

The rest of these are my shots for my animations. I may have partially used the ones from the previous weeks upon doing some adjustments. Since week 9 is just updating stuff, I thought I might as well should combine it with week 8.

Week 6-7 (Part 2)

And here we go. Recording my shots. As a note, I did combined week 6 and week 7 together as I honestly can’t recall what i specifically recorded since these were the two weeks Michigan was hit with the Winter storm. The storm disrupted quite a few things in terms of scheduling. I did some backgrounds test too. Will post one and post the rest in the next weeks.

Week 5 (Part 2)

Before I start, here’s the test shot I was referring to from last week. 

I did a few more test shots playing around with a few more things with the animation. Didn’t get as many as I want done but I believe I got another to start recording next week.

Week 4 (Part 2)

All of my test shots. I’m gradually understanding the timing of it. I’m probably going to a few more test shots next week before I actually start recording my shots. Again, i will upload them here. I will also make sure to upload one of my extra test shots to next week since Tumblr wouldn’t let me add the last test shot here.

Week 3 (Part 2)

Hello. Here’s my adjusted Work Reel. I haven’t bothered messing around with the sound since I honestly don’t think it’s worth it. That andI do need to tweak the sound anyway. 

I’m planning on doing some tests shot for my puppets and double check to see how the background looks. I will upload these shots in week’s 4 post so you can see

Week 1-2 (Part 2)

And we’re back for the second portion of this project :D I mostly just showed off Work Reel and went over my Synopsis. I now have the added bonus of worrying about the Electronic Press Kit. In term of my Work Reel, I received critique about possibly needing to adjust the ending and working on the timing. I will probably do a slight adjustment of the Work Reel I have to play with some things. Oh and here are the new model sheets.

The puppet was modeled after the puppets that I created. In terms of the background, I did make a note to finish it sometime before week 3.

Oh and here’s what my schedule for this semester. I know for the fact things will change

Week 15

Everything for Week 14 is saved under my google drive. I will upload the new model sheets for the characters within the next section of animation projects as I do need to rework some things. However, I can drop in my One Sheet and my current work reel here. 

I might consider reworking my One Sheet when I have the time.  For now i’m pleased with it. 

I already took some notes on some things to change and what not in my production book. One major thing i need to keep in mind is establishing a ground plane and doing more tests shots to work out the movement of the animations.

Week 13-14

Week 6.5

Before I post my script, here’s my one sheet!

Without further ado, here’s my script. I might tweak it a bit more depending on some things.  FADE IN-DAY EXT:  CENTER OF FOREST EGG is seen resting on a nest in the center of a grassy field. Egg remains unmoving/undisturbed by the sounds of creatures that could be heard in the background. From the tall grass to its right, SNAKE makes its appearance and explores the area around it. After slithering around, Snake spots Egg and approaches it. After searching the area for potential parents of Egg, Snake attempts to eat Egg. The Egg is, however, too bad for Snake to fit in its mouth. Snake swings his body around violently, slamming Egg into the ground repeatedly as an attempt to break through Egg, Snake is unsuccessful in his attempt and eventually drops Egg. Snake spots a acorn fall from a tree after a gust of wind blows through the grass around it and Egg. Leaving Egg, Snake goes to receive the acorn and returns back to Egg with the acorn in its mouth. With all its strength, Snake repeatedly smacks the acorn into Egg to try to break it over. Once again, Snake fails in his attempt. Frustrated, Snake tosses acorn back at the Egg, only for the acorn to bounce against the Egg and slams back into him, resulting in Snake falling over. With a loud HISS, Snake rises up and bites down on Egg with a might CRUNCH! At hearing the crunch, Snake lifts up the top half of Egg, having managed to break through its shell. Snake drops the top half of the shell and moves to consume the inside of Egg. Snake is, however, stopped by LIZARD appearing and slamming its body into Snake. Now on top of Snake, Lizard proceeds to consume Egg. Giving a pained and defeated groan, Snake lays defeated on the ground. However, it then spots a new egg not too far from it.

Week 6-8

I do apologize for not updating too often in regards to this. I will try my best to get you caught up on what’s been happening

This is Snake. The main character of the animation.  This is their model sheet but I am planning on updating it when I make the puppet for them as the materials will definitely affect their design.

This is Egg. This is meant to show its design. I need to make a another egg for the last egg that appears in the animation.

This is Lizard. They appear at the end up of the animation. I might update their design later on once I make his puppet. 

This is the storyboard for the animation. The look is a different as this was done digitally and my animation will be in cut out animation. The script for the animation will be within Week 6.5 so keep a eye on that. I have, however, included my animatic in this that I presented in class.

I have noted that parts of this animatic are a bit too slow and fast. This has been further confirmed by my peers so I will have to sit down and figure out things in regards to that. I also received advice of possibly adding in short shots in between to break up the animatic. Definitely going to do that.
