Why is every character I crush on some middle-aged man with the biggest red flags possible?
I'm really just here like "oh, he's literally a murderer", "he's committed several war crimes", "oh he's actually a pretty terrible person".
And then I justify it by being like "yeah, but he's hot though" or "yeah, but he had good reasons for doing that".
But then there's that one occasion where I'm simply just like "I could fix him"

Every night
I dream about everything
related to him.
I dream about him.
I can't sleep anymore
or I just don't feel like it.

Laswell: This is the team I want you to be a medic for.
Y/N: This hellish nightmare of a squad?
Laswell: They’re not that bad.
Y/N: I have a twenty-seven year old who has an inferiority complex because he’s the youngest man here, a Scotsman who likes to have constant pissing matches that end with him speaking a language no one understands, a living Halloween decoration with so many issues I would be here for hours explaining them, I have nothing negative to say about Farah and Alex, and a grumpy old man who thinks he’s a DILF but I don’t really think he inherently knows what qualifies being a DILF but I don’t have the heart to tell him.
Laswell: Well…Farah and Alex are wonderful.

Soap: Hard dick first thing in the mornin'? Better than coffee.
Ghost: ...
Ghost: Having it or getting it?
Gaz: You know they make alarm clocks, right? There's even an app on your phone.
Soap: Aye, but an alarm cock...
Ghost: *clears throat* That'll do.

This have been in my mind for a while.
Just think about OG Makarov, the one with a traumatic childhood, an abusive and alcoholic father and a mother that unlived herself in the Anna Karenina way when he was 7. Of course, it isn't an excuse for what he has done, but it's definitely a cause for his personality, I think that one of the main reasons he joined the army was to leave behind his father, we know what happened from that point.
But what if he would have married because of the social pressure of that period? He wouldn't love his wife, I don't think he is even capable of love, she would be some girl he had known from Ivanovo.
At first, he probably would ignore her, sure, it would be nice to find some warm food when he returned from deployments or later, after he was discharged from the army, from his "work". But her getting pregnant would be the changing point, not that he ever dreamt of being a father, but he would start to feel longing for something he even forgot he felt in his youth.
After the birth he would watch her craddling the baby in her arms, smiling happily, admiring the little human with such adoration, pure maternal love.
He would find himself staring at her while she would take care of their child, playing with the child, and helping them with homework.
Unconsciously, he wants to stay with her, once he chose to do some paperwork in the kitchen while she is cooking, saying that the lamp in his office isn't working, a lie, obviously, just wanting to be around her more.
Even for her, it would be unexpected when in bed, he would lay his head on her chest, like a child that wants his mother's affection, hugging her upper body with his arms, but she knows better from the past, that there was no good outcome to asking questions, she choosing to caress gently his raven hair, humming softly some lullaby.
Note: English is not my first language, this is not proofread, so you can point out any mistake I made. I definitely think that this could have been written better, but I just wanted to post this, maybe someone would think this is a good idea for a fanfic or something.
