Somehow, June was ever fucking worse than May. Between Memorial Day and health struggles, almost every paycheck this month was short. While the health stuff is being managed, my finances continue to crater and when you are living paycheck to paycheck on minimum wage, any stumble feels like a catastrophe. I am coming up just over 300 short of making my rent after next week's paycheck and then almost another hundred more for my car insurance and my emergency resources have been draining faster than they are filling. . .

I hate having to ask this again but I need help. Nobody is obligated to give anything but I greatly appreciate anything anyone is willing to give to help me hold things together. I am still super grateful for the help I got before and am so sorry for having to ask again. If you can help, please and thank you. Hopefully I can hold things together and July shows mercy and gives me the reprieve I need to get back to stable but until then any help is appreciated beyond words, even just boosting this post so it finds eyesore anyone who could help. Things are very difficult for everyone and I hope someone hears my cry for help.

I think the only thing that bugs me about SOTM is "Cradle.exe". What does it do? What is its purpose? It seems like it would be important to MXES, right?

I would like an answer to that. Or at least a theory about it.

I live my life by five rules.

Mind my own business.

Learn what I can.

Focus on what makes me happy.

Don't screw people over unnecessarily.

And accept that flaws will always be a part of everything and that it doesn't necessarily diminish the value of a product or item.

And I genuinely think people would be so much happier if these rules were what everyone lived by.

Take it from someone who lived with another person who constantly had to have drama happen to them all the time. It's exhausting and it makes other people miserable and it just makes you miserable.

Maybe just chill out.

I think FNaF is a lot more enjoyable if you don't take the games as a rigid continuity but instead Steel Wool and Scott Cawthon giving you a bunch of ideas and characters to play around with in your own little universe.

If you want to believe that FNaF 1 is the only game in the series, then thats fine.

If you want to believe that FNaF 1-3 are the only games in the series, then thats fine.

If you want to believe that the Purple Guy is a tragic family man, or a mad scientist, or just some stupid ass theater kid who takes himself way too seriously, you can have that interpretation.

FNaF's lore has always been fucky and weird. It's never had anything confirmed outside of what we physically see in the game. And even then from Sister Location onward, the games have multiple endings.

We still don't know who killed the Phone Guy. We still don't know who did the Bite of 87. We still don't know if the Toys were possessed by a DCI or if they just went haywire because of something Purple Guy did. We still don't know whether Mike Schmidt or Fritz Smith or Jeremy Fitzgerald or whoever the fuck we play as in FNaF 3 is the same person.

FNaF's canon is stuck together by personal interpretation. And honestly thats just fine. That's fun for someone like me who loves make interpretations or my own stories out of this. If that's not for you, I get that. You can leave it alone and stick with what you love. It would probably make you happier and be a better use of your time.

I often wonder about MXES. It's easy to just accept the "security AI meant to keep the Mimic secure" narrative, but I've got to wonder if that was always its purpose, or if it was just created as a security AI and was repurposed into locking the Mimic inside. I hope we get to see them more in Secret of the Mimic, possibly their origins.

But in any case, quirky little pixelated black rabbit ghost them.

I think them being a protector and guardian is super interesting. A guardian of data, possibly of the mind itself, for these robots.

I think they're neat.

So I realized something in Secret of the Mimic that I think is going have interesting implications. Spoilers underneath.

So who else noticed that F10-N4's computer is the same computer that MXES is coming out of?

Imagine performing for a career but still suffering from stage fright, kinda cringe.

But in seriousness, the Nightmares in my stuff are entities that are created from all sorts of negative traits in a person. Fear, sure, but also guilt, trauma, anger, shame, etc, and they grow stronger the more you fear them. While they can never be killed, they can be managed.

Nightmare Freddy is representative of Freddy's Stage Fright and Performance Anxiety. The little judge and voice in your head that critiques your every move and word. The feeling of thousands of eyes on you at any given moment. His little Freddles act as the audience, ready to laugh and mock Freddy in this hellish nightmare.

Why aren't the Freddles also pictured here?

XOR, MXES, and Nightmare act as a trio in my stuff. Beings that can influence the real world. Beings of Karma, the Mind, and Death. As such, they work together, and aid each other when it is needed. All three are widely respected, and widely feared, and getting the attention of one usually means getting the attention of another. They are not beings you want to be on the wrong side of.

That being said, they are still siblings.

XOR being basically the only new character from UCN definitely makes her interesting considering that UCN is William Afton's hell. A little mischevious embodiment of karmic punishment, me thinks.

In my stuff while she's mostly known for punishing bad people, she's also well known for rewarding good people. She takes after her Old Man a lot. :)))

A crossover idea I had with @all-stargamer99's FNaF AU (totally go check it out, it's really good). Just a fun thing of "hey, what if Afton went around trying to control other antagonists from other universes to cause problems"?

Nightmare in my stuff would be rather terrifying to have under Afton's control, but ya know...

I'll save that for a picture that properly shows him in his element, rather than one where he's categorically not onboard with any of this.

I like to think of Old Man Consequences as a comforting presence. He's a dude that wants to help souls find peace, and he'd let you sit with him for as long as you needed, talking to you and giving you advice or criticism or comfort, whatever you needed. Just to make you feel better even after death.

I like that version of him.
