The moment I allowed myself to be who I truly am inside was the scariest of my life. I was terrified. The thing is, I wasn't afraid because I wasn't sure this is who I am. I was afraid because of what that meant in our society. Everyday people are trying to ignore that transgender people exist. The thing is, you can disagree with the way we live our lives all you want but that doesn't mean we aren't alive and we will not be silenced. I wrote this on my wrist at one of the lowest moments of my life. The irony in it is that I'm no longer lost by embracing the fact that I'm a transgender man but freer than I've been my entire life. Happy #transdayofvisibility to all my brothers who have loved me and guided me throughout. I wouldn't be here without you all 💜

- "Would you tell me, please, which way I ought to go from here?" - "That depends a good deal on where you want to get to." - "I don't much care where –" - "Then it doesn't matter which way you go. (at Resolute Custom Tattooing)

My transition has been a roller-coaster but this tattoo encompasses all the beauty in it. I am a man and I embrace my femininity 100%. I have grown stronger through my struggle and although life is short, it is beautiful and worth it. Thank you for your amazing work Tucker! (at Resolute Custom Tattooing)

Our View
Our view is
              A pair of shoes
Shuffling along
a dark alleyway.
Whatever you do -
DON’T LOOK
Up
Our view is
              A bathroom stall
Too small to fit
Our PERSONALITIES.
Too dirty –
to make us feel clean.
Our view
              Is of no concern
To the rest of society.
Walking fast -
              We constantly change…
Our view
For to not stay too long -
Is what is best.
We make people,
              As bland as
              A rainbow with no color,
Uncomfortable.
Yet somehow, we are the ones
sitting on
devil horns,
While they sleep
on angel wings.
At our core,
              We are strong
As any queer can be -
In a world drained of glitter.
To you,
              We are corrupting the youth
To us,
              We are saving them
From the delusion
That is
              The American Dream.
We talk to Lady Liberty
              On the nights,
we have nowhere else to go.
She tells us -
Freedom is like her skin color
No longer its original design…
Our view
Is electric chairs
              Strapping our hope tightly
As we wait for someone to care.
Our view
is penniless hands
              Leaving jobs
In an act of defeat.
Our view,
Is too dark for most
              Yet somehow
We squint
Because the light we see
Is brighter than theirs.
Our view
Is better
Because,
Our view
Is real
Our view,
Is alive
Our view
Is our view.
