A low breath escapes him, continuing to card fingers through Evan's hair. His other hand stayed where he had put it under Evan's shirt, his fingertips brushing slowly over the bare skin.

"For you? 'm always here. y'my favourite" Barty half smiled, still worried but trying to push it off. Evan was here. He was safe, and Barty was in his rightful place on his lap. Everything would be okay. But he could never fully wipe that worry away, he cared too much.

"There's no pressure. Ever. Just- if you need me. If you want me. Just ask, I'll be there. No matter what. I'd crawl out of my deathbed if you needed my help."

Barty slowly brushes through Evans hair, humming lightly. His legs wrap completely around Evans waist, attaching them together as completely as he was able to from his position on Evan's lap.

"What's yours is mine, Evie, I'd rather share the weight of problems than have you try and deal with it alone."

He scratched lightly at Evan's head as his fingers slid through his hair, not sure if he was doing it correctly, but knowing that he liked that action on himself and attempting to return the favour.

"Please, just- let me know if I can help at all- even if it's just keeping you company so you aren't alone."
