Like, it doesn't really matter who's singing it. No wonder it's so iconic. Like lemme just have a religious experience at 3:30 in the morning cuz one song is changing my life for some reason. Specifically this rendition:

Teach me how to perform the blood eagle

I will be the example

Let you scratch the flesh of my back off,

Break through the tissue and

Pull my ribs back with thick fingers, break them and let my shadow be that of an angel

Season me blandly,

Cleanse my insides and preserve them from rot

Spit into the wound,

Grace me with the instance,

The understanding of something within you

Lift my lungs and let them hand over my wings

Suck the blood out of my skin until I am nothing but a shell,

Weeping and sobbing and begging that you let me be worthy

Worthy of the pain you've already inflicted

I know it's mine

It belongs to me

So it belongs to you

Take it all, have everything

Do with me what you please

I will be the example

I volunteer

Make a model out of me,

Make me into a blueprint

Practice the pain on me,
