Not even particularly asexuals, just general people who don't like sex personally or don't want to have it for whatever reason. It's just not great to portray people who don't have sex as weird losers or naive little kids or whatever, even as a joke

Reached out to a biologist to request some info about an extinct species of freshwater shrimp and the email she sent in response was not only lovely and helpful but also kind of poetry to me? People who study invertebrates are actually the most hopeful and compassionate scientists that we have.

random anecdote for father's day: one time during a long car ride my dad asked me, "you're familiar with Murphy's Law, right?" and i was like "isn't that the one about how anything that can go wrong will go wrong?" and he said "yeah, exactly" and i said "why do you ask?" and he went "well, have you heard of Cole's Law?" and i said "no, actually, what's that?" and he said "it's mostly lettuce and carrots with a little dressing mixed in"

People really need to learn the difference between “can use misogyny to hurt women” and “have systemic power over women”.

Because guess who is a big wielder of misogyny to hurt women. Other women. And while sometimes there’s systemic power going on there (ie. if it’s paired with say, racism, for example), there are plenty of cases of misogyny simply being used as a tool to hurt women nearby proximity-wise. And so theres plenty of using misogyny to hurt women that is not a wielding of systemic power.
