inspired by the art trend of drawing ships as the painting + an oomf there headcanoning the characters as the painting (I will add yr name if when I remember,, hopefully 😭)

I started drawing this last year and only finished it a few months ago lol,,,

The wide spread rumor of these characters being "married" was popular back then. It isn't entirely false though.

It is Headcanoned by the people within the story (and me 🧏) as the past and future are intertwined.

The idea of bellstrum's "marriage" or if they actually love each other (romantically or not) is, iirc, built by that connection. Oh, plus, they were fond of each other that one time they sang and danced like two birds trying to impress each other teehee

their masks are really hard to draw for me, so in order to make it more fun I put my own little spin on the designs!!! ^_^

Cole:

Idk why I gave them a heart motif. I just thought it was cute

Their hair is meant to resemble dried hay

the bow around their neck is kinda frayed

Clemente/Clemmie:

Bells on their ears and neck

Not much to say for this one, but their curled hair is really fun to draw lol

Kingsley:

Eyes are meant to somewhat look like wood knots

the nose area looks like a skeleton bc I think it’s cool. Shush

base of mask like tree roots??

collar’s like maple leaves + another swirly wood knot

Peregrine/Perrine:

I kinda just said ‘fuck it we ball’ with this one honestly

But I did want to add the silly moose nostrils so yeah
