Trellisor wedding arch as flower arch

This arch is pretty cute, but with the heart and the bells it's hard to unsee the weddingness of it all. So I removed them, and made a version to use as simply a nice decorative wooden arch with flowers growing on it. It is repositoried to the original, and I opted to keep it 1 tile, in case someone for some reason wants to put it on an angle omsp or something.

Found in decorative/plants, costs 900 like the original.

Add-On separated maxis clutter

I'm renovating a restaurant in my game and it occurred to me that two of the maxis sculptures would actually make decent clutter if separated into stand-alone object for more placement freedom. So I went and did that, and I figure someone else might benefit. So here's a random creation.

Flavorful Necessities - Separated into two parts, costs 95 each, deco/sculptures (668 and 460 poly) Bit of This and That - Separated into six parts, cost 20 each, deco/sculptures (110 to 332 poly)

I made ketchup/mustard in combined and separate versions, because I want mustard houses and ketchup houses and all condiments are okay houses, but if you are less crazy I would consider picking one or the other :P

I have a habit of making small edits to cc I download, usually because I want different colored shoes for each recolor, or in this case, because I didn't like some of the colors that EA chose for the outfit. And usually I don't share them, because they really are minor edits, but while making the preview pictures for the cc I've been sharing lately, I also took pictures of these overalls, forgetting that 2 of of them were edited from the recolors shared by PlatAsp. I hate making previews, and I didn't want these to go to waste, so here we are.

With that said, I created new package files for both edited recolors, so they are fully compatible with the files shared by PlatAsp! The pink overalls is an original recolor, but below you can see what I changed in the other 2:

"FlowerBeigeV2" is an edit of PlatAsp's "FlowerBeige". I changed the color of the belt to brown, matching the boots, and the scarf is now orange.

"Brown" is an edit of PlatAsp's "BlueMedium". I only changed the color of the overalls.

"Pink" was made using "White" as a base (because it's easier to recolor from a fully white/grey base), but only the color of the shirt is the same.

This is @midgethetree's awesome functional yoga mat, with a few tweaks to make it friendlier for use on an OFB business lot. It's more attractive now, and Sims of any body skill level can use it, not just 3+ points.

This would absolutely not have come together without the helpful guidance of @gummilutt, @hugelunatic, and @heathensimmer helping me and suggesting what to try since I am very much not a modder! But once again, desperately stubborn when it comes to making things work in my own game.

This is just an edit of the mesh, replace Midge's version with mine, but get the recolours from her original post.

I received a request from @fluffyfluse for some conversions from ATS' Sims 4 daycare sets and this is what I was able to come up with.

The play house, the castle, the play town, the barn, and the rocket ship are cloned from a 4t2 dollhouse by TheRaven, which in turn was cloned from a play garage by Leefish @ MTS. It builds charisma as it is played with. There were no broken meshes for the Sims 4 sets, so when these are broken, they'll still appear whole.

The toy abacus is cloned from a similar abacus made for Sims 2 by Maylin @ MTS. It will build logic as it is played with.

The bells toy is cloned from a music toy also by ATS, and will build creativity as it is played with.

The screw toy and the blocks puzzle are cloned from a toy by Rebecah @ MTS and will build mechanical knowledge as played with.

(I think. I really didn't take good notes when working through these.)

The Playdough, the Playdough pot, the fingerpainting kit, and the slate chalkboard are all just deco. The small armchair wasn't requested, but I thought it was cute, so here we are. It is functional and is cloned from a toddler chair by Solfal @ TSR. Fair warning, the toddlers get on it sideways, like a potty (which is what I think it was initially cloned from), so there's obvious clipping when sitting/standing, but once on the chair, all is well.

All recolors are included, as are the texture images so you can pick and choose what you want to keep. Remember to discard the images before putting them in your downloads. Everything can be found in game in General > Kids.

Since many people seemed to enjoy the last suburbia, I decided to make another version, this time with single-story homes. The rent ranges from 4,000 to 5,000 simoleons. Two of the houses have 3 bedrooms while the other two only have 2 bedrooms. I only did basic furnishings like the kitchens and bathrooms.

A mod for Jane Roe

Maybe you went a little further than you meant to in that photobooth last night.  Maybe you wanted another baby, but you’re a housewife raising two boys in a trailer and the husband who was supposed to provide for you died in a tragic pool ladder accident right around the time the morning sickness kicked in.  Maybe you were innocently working on a logic point in your own backyard when you were abducted and impregnated against your will.  Whatever happened, it’s going to be okay.

If you’re lucky enough to put two and two together when you start losing your breakfast, it’s simple and easy: go to any sink and take one pill with plenty of water.

If you don’t know until you stop fitting into your jeans, it’s still under control.  Call a nanny if needed, make sure your pets are fed, and then use any phone to call the local abortion clinic.

They’ll send a taxi to collect you, and you’ll come home a few hours later none the worse for wear – maybe a little tired, but ready to move on with your life.

It's the Sims 2 20th anniversary today, so have a neighbourhood to celebrate!

Welcome to Jubilee, population 23. As the townspeople prepare to celebrate their twentieth anniversary, old secrets and new rivalries emerge. For a town this small, there sure is plenty of drama between its inhabitants.

Welcome to Jubilee, a tiny (very tiny) small town somewhere deep in the desert. As always, this neighbourhood requires minimal CC from the Stories. It'll work without it, it'll just look different if you don't use it. It does, however, require all expansion and stuff packs.

This town is inspired by many different custom neighbourhoods and challenges of the past twenty years. From the HBG Sedona to the teen runaway challenge, the past twenty years have turned every Sims player into a storyteller of sorts.

Now onto the residents...

Mary didn’t expect to spend her retirement caring for her grandchildren. However, the three of them have adjusted well to each other, even though Terrence’s death only a few months ago has shaken things up again. Shy little Daffodil is settling in nicely, but Violet’s involvement with the local bad boy is giving Mary a headache.

Emmett and his dog live at the edge of town. While Emmett is famous for being the local hermit, he’s also the owner of the most successful store in town. However, with old age creeping up on him and no heir, he is wondering who will become his successor and secure his legacy.

Leslie has got a zest for life and a terrible taste in men. Whether it is failing to tame the town’s lothario or rebounding with a childhood friend who turns out to be unreliable and reckless, Leslie just can’t seem to catch a break. But maybe her happily after is right around the corner?

Callum has come to Jubilee for a fresh start and the townsfolk have embraced their new neighbour. However, the circumstances surrounding his move are certainly odd. Will Callum prove to be just too odd for this odd little town?

Locals have certainly noticed that someone is camping out in the old construction site but as they appear to be quiet and respectful, they leave them alone. Still, some wonder who would voluntarily live there.

Technical notes

Jubilee consists of just eight sims across five households, as well as a cat and a dog. There are six townies as well as nine NPC (counting the food judge). Additional NPC will spawn as needed. All playable Sims are fully customised (appearance, bios, skills, life states, hobbies) and most of the townies have relationships with playable Sims. There are six residential lots, one apartment lot, four unowned community lots and two owned ones. The neighbourhood has a custom NID, making it unlikely to conflict with any other custom or premade neighbourhoods.

Castaway Build/Buy bundle, LifeStories Buy Bundle and LifeStories BuildBundle and a single stadion bench from PetStories. (technically, none of it is required since all of it is purely cosmetic…)

Recommended mods

to prevent townies and NPC from losing their memories when moving in, get Townie No Memory Loss.

to prevent unwanted townies from spawning, I recommend you follow this tutorial. It’s a good idea to do this regardless, as it prevents all of the Maxis townies from spawning in each of your new hoods

to help with some of the inaccessible plants, get both of the following mods: Water inaccessible flowers/ Trim inaccessible bushes.

a camera mod of your choice to access all map areas

Installation instructions

for the main hood version: unpack the .rar and just plonk it in your Sims folder. You should be able to find it under Documents => EA Games => The Sims 2 => Neighbourhoods. Make sure it doesn’t overwrite another neighbourhood (which is highly unlikely as this one has a unique neighbourhood ID)

for the subhood version: unpack the .rar and put it into your C:// Program files (x86)/The Sims 2 Open For Business/TSData/Res/NeighborhoodTemplate folder (path might differ for the Ultimate collection edition or if you’re playing on an older Windows operation system)

Situationship Memories

This mod contains custom memories related to rejection, affairs, and more. Some are missing memories from the base game, and others are meant to go with interactions created by midgethetree. See the full list below. Updated 6/1/2024 to fix the mesh.

You have to manually add the memories for now, but I'm going to work on making them automatic. I used DiLight's Tattered Diary method. The mesh is Veranka's rose bouquet and can be found in misc > misc.
