Here comes the sun...
Finally draining out and the cleanup has begun. If I didn't love this house so damn much I would've definitely torched it by now....ah, so what else is new?
Had an extremely fun and limit pushing night last night. It was something that I said I would never do again, but what the hell. You only live once. Can't exactly go public with it, but it was very hot. Have to say though that the new piercing was not all it's cracked up to be when the other doesn't know how to use it ;) Not that it wasn't mind blowing, but not until afterward.
So another Friday night and I do have somebody. Waiting on some great spicy takeout and then get the kids off to bed. What to do tonight? Hmmmm. A friend's band is playing tonight, but the chances of getting hubby off the couch and out are looking slim. Not worth a fight about it so... a chilled out night in with great company it is!

in water again
So here I am, starting this new blog wearing a great pair of boots with water up to my ankles. Another tragic victim of the flood of 2010 in Massachusetts. Ah, how I regret not getting that flood insurance. It seems to be the four year itch. '02, '06, now '10. Lovely. Things were looking brighter this afternoon. The water had rescinded to only an inch or so and I had high hope of being able to drunk shop vac tonight. My overly ambitious husband just had to pop another tile and bang into the cement a little to see if this was a good location for another sump pump hole. He thought he patched the new hole & then promptly left for Home Depot. I on the other hand, stayed upstairs and got my strangely hyper son off to bed. With dreams of a cold beer in an inch or water or less I thought my night was looking up.....apparently not! 3 inches of water now and oh well, turn on the zero clearance pump & take a shot!
I always wanted to live on a lake, I just thought I couldn't afford it! Ha now I realized that I not only have water front property, my house sits directly on the lake. How about that for prime real estate?Seriously though, it could be worse. This could be 10 inches, or sewerage. Now that would require a good can of gasoline and a match!
