i think what’s great about the word “robin” meaning “fame” and the interpretations that can stem from it is that everyday people can say “so it’s about the kids taylor knows, like blake and ryan’s kids, or claire’s kid, or abigail’s kid,” or something like that, and move along with their day. there’s finally a workaround for the everyday observer of her work.
but if you actually pay attention to the song, it’s got all the markings of the fame itself being attached to the subject of the song *because of taylor* and the inevitable notoriety (clocks tethered but the time will eventually arrive for the cruel and the mean) being *because* of their connection to taylor, and because it’s taylor. and its something that she and others are holding back on out of love. and that’s something that doesn’t necessarily apply to just any friends. like not just everyone is going to grow up and have the fact that they knew taylor be something that would send hate their way. for most people, being able to say they knew taylor would just make them the coolest person ever. but this is not true for everyone!

remember when taylor posted these orange, green and purple vinyl test pressings on september 16, 2022 during MIDNIGHTS ERA?✨
what if I told you none of it was accidental?
if you fail to plan, you plan to fail / strategy sets the scene for the tale / she laid the groundwork, and the just like clockwork / the dominoes cascaded in a line /what if I told you l'm a mastermind?

Basically, Karlie randomly posted photos and videos of herself and the boys in Hudson Valley on November 3rd 2023. And Taylor was posted by Aaron in his studio in Hudson Valley a few days later, but the meta data showed November 1st. Good times. 🤭

Can you explain Hudson Valley? I thought Kaylor broke up during the pandemic. Why did this Hudson Valley thing convince so many kaylors that they didn't break up. I missed that whole chapter.
@kwyw would you like to do the honors? 😌
it’s one of a sea of many many things that helps reinforce my belief that they’ve always been good.
side note: the idea of kaylor breaking up during the pandemic is new to me! in the past, there were a contingent of gaylors/kaylors that believed they broke up (and maybe got back together) in the back half of 2019. it’s always interesting to me to see how the different breakup timelines progress and shift with time, so thank you for sharing this new variation!

Really?! Where did you get that from, anon? 🤨
Okay. Let's assume it's true and that Taylor is "recycling" old lyrics and reviving a relationship that ended last decade... you mentioned BDILH as one of them.
Now explain to me how this refers to a relationship from last decade, when this...

happened only 13 months before the release of TTPD?!

I already said you need to at least be coherent. 😮💨
Before, the excuse, until last week, was "Kaylor broke up because Taylor is dating that beard. Look at everything she's doing!"
Since the US Open, the same old thing that happens in our fandom, from time to time, blogs have been spreading narratives and theories that Kaylor broke up, and a wave of posts full of misogynistic, ageist attacks and, worse, badmouthing the girls' appearance, especially Taylor's, to try to corroborate the new breakup narrative and that Taylor is "toxic", was disseminated to try to make their "truths" plausible (people usually resort to violence when they don't have solid arguments to support their allegations).
Anyway, since then, these people have only been posting and sending asks like: "Enough! Kaylor is over. There's no way Karlie is still with her the way she behaved with that man in public."...
"Taylor is actually dating him. Wake up! Kaylor is over"...
"There's no way she's the Robins' mother if she's actually dating that man"...
"Look at her drinking and partying (because after you become a mother, you're forbidden from going out for 2 or 3 hours to enjoy life a little. It's the law! 🙄). Karlie would never let her near her kids"... and other shit like that.
That was proof that Kaylor was over. 🤦🏻♀️
However, after seeing more than 5 minutes of her near Trash on that podcast, the lines are: "Zero chemistry! There's no way these two can be together." 😂
Now I ask: if the proof that Kaylor broke up was because "Tayvis" was real, what happens now to your "truth"?! I want to hear your arguments. Speak Now!
Especially after, in the last few months, Karlie posted twice celebrating Masters' recovery - the first, that post in the middle of a field full of daisies exactly one month after Taylor took the photos she used to announce the purchase of her song, and the second, that video playing "Dreams" hours before Taylor made the announcement - having posted the boys wearing the same colors as the TS12 theme and Karlie herself wearing the dress with the same name as the vinyl (38 days before the announcement of ts12).

What now?! 🤷🏻♀️
Be coherent before spreading your hate and bullshit in my inbox.

In today’s I’m Prepared to Be Strong & Wrong episode, let’s focus on the songs “Wood” and “The Archer”.
Those who watched the podcast on Wednesday may have noticed the Pinocchio figure in the background.
People are focused on how lying is associated with Pinocchio. However, I think it’s important to also look at the metaphor of Pinocchio as a wooden puppet.
Lies are like plants. You plant a seed in the soil, water it, and it grows into something bigger. When people lie (depending on the severity), they feel forced to keep feeding into it because others become so invested that the liar has to keep trying to maintain and sustain it, ultimately losing themselves.
It reminds me of these lyrics from “The Archer”:
“And I cut off my nose just to spite my face, and I hate my reflection for years and years.”
“They see right through me/Can you see right through me?/They see right through me/I see right through me”
In my opinion, if Pinocchio is about self-discovery, then The Archer is about self-sabotage. Pinocchio was a child in a puppet’s body who longed to become a “real boy”. Taylor feels like a child in an adult’s body “who never grew up” (acknowledging her immaturity) and wants to feel more like a human being with autonomy over her life and less like a puppet:
I never grew up; it’s getting so old.
Our behavior and beliefs are shaped by our environments and the people around us. Not only are we taught to not lie, but we are also taught that there is one right way, which is the best and only way, and this becomes our belief system. Remember this from Miss Americana?
“Throughout my whole career, label executives would just say, “a nice girl doesn’t force their opinions on people; a nice girl smiles and waves and says thank you.” I became the person everyone wanted me to be.”
“Nobody physically saw me for a year. And that’s what I thought they wanted.
Then you grow up and have lived experiences:
“I had to deconstruct an entire belief system, toss it out, and reject it.”
I don't think Miss Americana was ever about politics (as insinuated) but about identity politics. Fuck the patriarchy, though.
Additionally, a child doesn’t fully understand the power of a lie the way an adult would because, as adults, we're old enough to know better. Sure, it’s easier to lie than to admit or own up to a mistake, and often, people don’t truly grasp the consequences. Yes, a lie can (temporarily)hide the truth, but it can also expose it, and at that point, you could very well be the boy, girl, or person who cried wolf. Liars aren’t just deceivers; they struggle with the truth. This struggle makes them human, because we all find it hard to handle the truth—whether we're facing it or telling it.
Taylor Swift is human, but Taylor Swift (TM) is Pinocchio—a brand/image carved, created, and controlled. Manufactured. I think Taylor feels like she's stuck in this identity that was made for her. You can build the most beautiful things from wood and put them on display for everyone to see and admire, but at the end of the day, it's still just wood.
This wood betrayed Pinocchio. Every time he told a lie, his wooden nose grew bigger, changing his appearance and how people saw him. It became a tell. The nose is the face’s focal point, so the bigger it became, the harder it was to ignore. The “wood” betrays Taylor. Every time she has done something over the past year or two, our views of her have changed.
A puppet has strings attached that are controlled by a puppeteer and with no strings attached, it falls apart and breaks.
youtube
Wood can build, but it can also burn. And when the fire clears everything away, you’re left with a clean slate—you have freedom (or autonomy) to rebuild whatever you want and however you want.
Ok, enough rambling for today.
And yes, I'm going outside to touch grass or whatever. Lol

Thanks to this post, it made me realize just how hard planned everything has been. For years and years. Taylor did after all say “I think the most Easter eggy video of my entire career thus far was Look What You Made Me Do. Literally the whole video is just an Easter egg. It’s like thousands of Easter eggs. There’s still some that people still haven’t found. It will be decades before people find them all.”

My personal thinking is so much of what we’ve seen in each era since has been planned for years and years. I also wouldn’t be surprised if folklore/evermore was the exception, because of the pandemic and just as a mourning of what could have been after the masters/failed coming out. But then midnights going forward is back on track with her plans.
Maybe the lyrics would have been more different if she was allowed to come out, but I think the general themes are part of an overarching plan, because she’s been plowing through these albums like she’s on a mission and a timeline, if you ask me.

🕳🕳🕳🕳🕳🕳🕳🕳
I've been laughing about this since yesterday, and now I have decided to share it with you.
Enjoy, folks! 😝✌🏼

It's amazing how Taylor always purposefully creates holes in her own narratives. 🕳🤭

I'm sure buying her masters was one of the most memorable moments of Taylor's life. The kind of moment where you remember exactly where, when, and with whom you were. So there's no way Taylor could be wrong about the exact time it happened and where she was, especially since it was such a recent event.
Taylor said that a couple of months, plural, after the Super Bowl (February 9th), that is, sometime from April onwards, was when Andrea made the unforgettable and long-awaited call about buying her masters. Right?!
Look at this!

😏🍵
Trash Kelce arrived in Florida in early April and was there training for at least two months or more, according to media reports and several well-documented photos of him hanging out with his father, Ross, and going to the gym throughout April and May.
In other words, in the period before May 30, Trash was far away from Kansas City and certainly far away from Taylor when she learned about the masters purchases.
Oh! Don't forget, Taylor took the photos for the purchase announcement in March, just over a month after the Super Bowl. 😉
If it's a real relationship, you don't need to make up lies about unforgettable moments of genuine joy you shared with your partner like this. 😉

“And cut it now” is a totally normal thing to say in a really normal very chill podcast with her really real boyfriend and his brother.

(x)
Bonus: apparently the episode went through 20 rounds of editing.

this maybe ties back to the album being connected to reputation thing & it being planned for a long time.
what a pull that would be like.. maybe it would be something she’d be into retconning for the superstitious / auspicious vibes??

sidenote.. remember when everyone was super into reading into her calendar and her calendars really felt like something she herself and her team put out every year??

I mean cmon the eyeliner on the eye in the compact mirror is WAY thicker and that is NOT the same makeup look Karlie had on.

I am now fully convinced that is in fact Taylor's eye and this was edited so let's look at some side by sides to be sure....

I couldn't find the exact angle but that's pretty close as it'll get. Notice how Taylor's hair is falling in the exact same area as the suspected blonde hair in the mirror...
What would the top dark blonde part be anyway if not hair? There is no eyebrow visible which means something has to be covering it... hair. And yet Karlie not only is not blonde but her hair isn't anywhere near the middle of her face the way it's styled.

Especially with THIS being posted the day before describing this exact picture and referring to Karlie seeing Taylor's singular EYE in her reflection... I'm convinced
And that IS a sharp gaze if I've seen one.

#just thinking about all of this again#lmao#that is Taylor’s damn eye in both instances#kaylor#met gala#eye theory
