Do you guys think that, after he was rescued and joined the Bad Batch, Echo ever learned that Crosshair said this about him? That he didn’t want to attempt to save him, that he didn’t think he was worth it? This has been on my mind recently :/

The “Clones exist to be with the Jedi and this is A Good Thing” interpretation of the Clone Wars narrative makes me immensely uncomfortable. Yes, they were great friends with the Jedi, but the idea that these guys exist only to serve others is “good, actually” denies clones their agency and individuality. The fact that the clones are quite literally slaves adds another gross dimension here.
Clones are not props for other characters. They are characters in their own right. The Jedi themselves (save for maybe Pong Krell) would not be fond of this characterization of their relationship with the clones, either.

So does Vader have to change shells like a hermit crab? Or does he shed it and becomes temporarily mushy like a soft shell crab?

I’m very curious about the Bad Batch’s relationship with the regs. How did all the animosity start? We see regs insulting them and acting generally disdainful towards them in the mess hall on Kamino, but this seems odd to me. Clones, generally, value individuality and brotherhood. Differences are what make them unique, and they embrace those differences with alterations to their appearances and armor. We also see that many regs cared about 99, a “defective” clone just like the members of the Bad Batch. So why is there hostility towards them (apparently) for being different?
The Bad Batch also holds clear resentment towards the regs. They generally seem to believe that their genetic alterations and enhanced abilities make them better than the typical clone, with Crosshair even blatantly saying that they’re superior to the regs and implying the regs are expendable. Did they develop this attitude because the regs were bullying them, as a kind of defense mechanism? Or did the regs start to resent them and act hostile towards them because of their superiority complex? I’m very curious which came first, who “started” this feud. I hope we get more information on this in the future, possibly in the next season or in the upcoming issue of Hyperspace Stories.
#this just really bothers me#it seems so weird that other clones would bully them#since that doesn’t really align with what we know about clones already#star wars#the bad batch#star wars rant#the clone wars#the bad batch season 2#tbb crosshair#tbb hunter#tbb tech#tbb wrecker#tbb echo

People say "Anakin took down the Empire" like he did that on purpose. He didn't. He killed Palpatine on purpose, sure. To save Luke. Anakin would've HAPPILY watched Palpatine turn Endor to space dust and annihilate the Rebellion and then spent the next 25 years continuing to do Palpatine's bidding and hunted down Jedi survivors and Force Sensitive people and enslaved/massacred entire populations. The only thing keeping that from happening is that Luke's life happened to be in the equation. He kills Palpatine to save Luke, and it's a nice bonus for the galaxy that that ends up allowing the Rebellion's destruction of the Death Star 2.0 to have an even bigger impact on the end of the Empire. But it's by no means intentional on Anakin's end or part of his goals in any way shape or form. So who cares? Why does the REBELLION'S victory get to posthumously make Anakin a hero because of something that was clearly not even on his mind when he made his choice? How is that fair at all to all of the ACTUAL heroes who gave their lives to get the Rebellion to that point, to equate them with someone who never would have given their lives a second thought?

This is genuinely driving me fucking insane, just because I hate not knowing things or not being able to find definitive answers to questions. I am losing sleep over this.
Okay, I have questions about the genetic alteration of the clones. In Attack of the Clones, the Kaminoan Prime Minister says that the clones are completely obedient and have been genetically altered to be less independent than the template (Jango). In the Bad Batch, Tech says that the clones’ genetic structure was modified for obedience. Is this in reference to the inhibitor chip? Because if so, that’s a really odd way of describing it since it’s an organic implant. And if it’s not, and the clones have another, different form of genetic alteration that is supposed to make them obedient, how does that work? How much does it affect their behavior and their lives? Obviously not all clones are completely obedient, as we see largely in the Bad Batch, so was the Prime Minister just exaggerating and being a salesman when he said they’ve been altered to be completely obedient? If anyone knows please let me know, this has been bothering me all day.
