Thx to Tal Shulman for this! It's uncertain out there for everyone right now. Thanks to all the artists and storytellers for bringing us entertainment when we need a break from this crazy reality. Performers are gonna take a big hit right due to cancelled events and tv/film productions shut-downs. I know that most industires will feel this but please keep in mind that artists & performers are particularly vulnerable and often don't have the safety net of corporate paychecks & benefits or government assistance like EI. We rely solely on a gig economy that in times of social isolation is non-existent. Personally, I have already shifted to focus on creating online content as I expect that 99% of my usual income from live shows and tv/film gigs will disappear over the next 30-90 days. We have already started plans to shift @laughingvikings into more content creation (comedy videos, podcasts, livestreams, music, AMAs) etc so that we can continue to work as creative artists. Please stay tuned to our channels for more info as we launch our new content. Seeing people using "social isolation" when it seems we've been told "social distancing". Distance vs Isolation are two very different things. Distance is prudent and will curb transmission and flatten the curve. Isolation makes us all prisoners in our own homes. Not once have I read an article or healthcare warning that suggests "social isolation" but all a sudden that's the word people are throwing around.
