Completing my Bucket List is a website that was established by Laura Ripley in 2013, when she got tired of living a boring and miserable life. Laura resorted to taking a bungee jump to see how it would go. She was so amazed at the results that she began to wonder what other crazy yet amazing things she could do. Laura came up with a list of the things she wanted to do as a way of spicing up her life while having great, unforgettable, fun moments. She captures every moment she spends taking part in her bucket list and documents them to share not just with her friends and family, but the entire world. 2013 saw her accomplish a number of activities in her bucket list that she lives to remember and share through her website. Although Laura is only 26, she has been able to accomplish a lot in her life, and even more since 2013. Last year, Laura was able to get her first tattoo, zip line over alligators, bungee jump, drive a speedboat, parasail and even go on the world’s highest sling shot, among other fun activities. In fact, the list is endless with more in store for her in the bucket list. Completing my Bucket List is an inspiration to many, providing them with excellent viable ideas of how to have fun.

With 2014 nearly over I'm now over a 3rd of the way through my bucket list. This has definitely been the best and most exciting year of my life so far. Getting married being the highlight but crossing many items off my list. Losing 45lbs, sky diving, feeding a rhino, water jetpacks and many more items which has made for a great year. This photo summarizes how amazing this year has been. Happy new year to everyone and hope 2015 is full of happiness, travel and adventures for you.

#279 zombie paintball. We took a seat on a cart at the back of a tractor with paintball guns built in the side, then took it round a haunted fairground to shoot zombies :) Some of them were cut outs and some actors. One of the zombie actors got knocked out - eek! But got up again and continued. Great fun. Would definitely do this again

#145 take part in a show.
Quids in theatre company Aberdeen (http://quidsintheatrecompany.com) Were advertising for zombies and actors for a performance on Halloween week.
I went along to the first meeting hoping to be a zombie but unfortunately due to being on holiday I couldn’t make the rehearsals.
Instead I was offered an acting part as a doctor experimenting on the zombies. Since my new life means saying yes more this is exactly what I did.
Performing in public is one of my biggest fears.
I went along to the first rehearsals nervous and struggling to say my lines, but by the end of it really got into it!
We performed over two nights to over 400 people and I had one of the best weeks ever! What a rush performing in front of people.
Something that was a fear may have became a new interest.
The photos even appeared in the local paper.

Face your fears
Number 300 on my list is face my fears. This won't count as being marked off until I've faced all three. 1: sharks 2: spiders 3: public speaking 1: I have a major fear of the sea and that's mostly down to sharks! Because of this water jetpacking wasn't a great experience for me. So within the next year I finally plan on swimming with sharks. 2: Spiders make my skin crawl. So what better way to get over this fear than have them crawl on my skin. 3: And finally...public speaking. Around friends and family you'd never think I was shy but speaking in front of a crowd/strangers scares me! So I've signed up for a drama performance this month for two nights over Halloween! I hope I remember my lines. What are your fears? And will you face them?

#25 water jet packs
So water jet packs! Looks great fun. But having a fear of the sea doesn’t make it easy.
From the minute I was in i knew I was going to panic. I hated the feeling of fish and seaweed between my feet.
Unfortunately because of my fear I struggled with the jetpack and spent more time under the water than above it.
I would love it if it was in a swimming pool.
Hubby on the other hand was great at it. He managed to get pretty high and would definitely do it again!
Worth a try if the sea doesn’t scare you

#125 visit San Diego zoo
San Diego zoo is voted one of the best zoos in the world, and for a good reason too!!
We went for the backstage pass experience where we go up close encounters with lots of the animals.
Including feeding a rhino, stroking a zebra and a close up with a cheetah!
Amazing!

#126 go to a shooting range
Not what I expected at all! Pretty scary really with the noise and power of them.
The kickback on a few were really powerful so the instructor held my shoulder in place to prevent injury.
Not something I’ll do again but glad I tried it.
The machine gun was my favourite :)

#130 go whale watching
This is something I’ll never forget. We took a three hour tour with San Diego whale watch.
We were so lucky to come across a pod of about 500 dolphins then two great blue whales.
It was just a magical experience!
The crew were informative and helpful and made for an excellent morning.
This is high up on my list of favourite bucket list experiences so far.

#65 feed a rhino
I managed to cross off feed a rhino at San Diego zoo in the backstage pass experience.
This guy is Surat who was celebrating his eighth birthday!
Many people believe rhino horn has “healing powers” but it is just made of the same thing as our hair and nails.
You can read more about the rhinos here:
