Any scriddler hcs?? Especially for your own version of them!!

Sorry this took so long 😅 I have rewritten this many times, lost the document and took a while to find it, edited it and forgot to save and had to rewrite stuff again. And it's still in very rough shape.

These are in no particular order, just wrote what comes to mind first.

Some are general headcanons and some are specific to mine, which I'll note.

1/ Eddie is a gearhead, he has a collection of rare, vintage luxury cars that he either bought at auctions or stolen from private collectors. Gives them names and calls them his babies obviously, he has taught himself how to maintain and modify them and takes real pride in them. 

Jonathan on the other hand can't really afford to maintain an expensive car, he's a simple man who would rather walk around if his destination is less than 30 minutes away, and more of the type that is loyal and married to one car.

Although Edward has gifted him a black 1962 dodge polara for his birthday, which Jon really appreciates, his real baby is a black semi truck that he takes around everywhere. It's loud and bulky and bad for getaways but it is very intimidating and he absolutely enjoys driving it.

2/(specific to me) since Edward has a mechanical/prosthetic arm he experiences a lot of phantom pains

That leaves him unfocused and distraught. (It can get especially dangerous during heists or in a batman encounter)

 He's often easily agitated in this state and loses his temper often. Jonathan tries his best as a therapist to help treat and manage it with him. This would look like stump care days where Jon helps him massage his lill stump and skincare routines, generally trying to let Eddie relax, Edward really does appreciate the rare moments of Jonathan genuinely doing something nice for him.

3/ Jonathan enjoys horse riding. He grew up on a farm where they had a horse or two. He's actually pretty good at it, used to race on horseback with his cousins all the time in the few good memories he has of his childhood. He tried inviting Edward over to teach him how to ride a horse, turns out Eddie is quite intimidated by the creature up close, and Jon's horse did try to eat his fingers a few times, which left him very reluctant to actually ride. Of course Jon likes to tease him about this and Edward does not back down from a challenge. They end up with Edward clinging to Jonathan's waist in fear with Jonathan getting a little carried away. Overall a pretty successful date. (Jon's horse is a jet black female named Bella)

4/ they share somewhat of an open relationship, mostly on Eddie's end where he has gotten with other men while in a relationship with Jonathan, they never really established that they're exclusive to one another, but they're very possessive of each other, Edward is very jealous over Jonathan, despite the man being a lot more loyal than him. They've had fights over this topic, and came to the conclusion Jonathan can't always be emotionally available for Edward and agreed it's okay for him to seek it elsewhere as long as they never keep secrets or get serious with third parties.

5/ related to the last hc. They do play with each other's jealousy. Eddie has purposely tried to rile Jon up, cuz he actually really enjoys seeing Jonathan getting very possessive and touchy when he witnesses Eddie being flirted with first hand. Jon is a very proud man, and Edward being the way he is doesn't really hurt his pride or his masculinity, it's mostly about control over other people, he plays along because Eddie likes it and Jon likes it when Edward is horny and agreeable. Naturally, Eddie loves the attention.

6/ Jonathan has really nice long hair, he is rather self conscious about his actual hair color (a dark ginger) and thinks it makes him look stupid and less intimidating. His grey hair doesn't take dye very well specially since he only uses natural hair dyes and ends up with salt and pepper hair.

Eddie absolutely adores Jon's hair, and though he wouldn't object to Jon growing his natural color out he is a little thankful that they don't go out looking like a gay couple twinning.

Moreover, since Jon is really bad at taking care of himself and doesn't trust people- especially with his hair- it is Eddie who trims and dyes his hair for him. Edward is by no means a professional, but he has tried his best at learning and knows his limits as well as when to stop and ask for directions. Mostly because he grew tired of losing personal hairstyles to Jonathan’s tantrums, and cleaning up a crime scene afterwards.

Eddie personally prefers to get his own hair professionally done, and he spends a lot of money in making sure it has good volume and the perfect shade of orange (although since I refuse to keep a color palette and always color his hair a slightly different shade everytime) let's just say it's a slight variation each time he gets it done.

7/ Jonathan really likes cooking for Eddie. I think this one is very cute. Maybe that's Jonathan's love language, food. They don't really get along in the kitchen, cuz Edward likes to do things very specifically and Jon doesn't like being told what to do, but Edward does like sitting back and letting Jonathan give him special treatment.

Ditty can I ask, how do you feel better after a fic you've been excited for crashes and burns after posting it? Im feeling mega demotivated rn

I'm probably the worst person to ask about this because I have a real "your boos mean nothing to me because I've seen what makes you clap" mentality when it comes to fanfic.

Over time, I have seen too many incredible writers be neglected while the most bare bones "let's hit all the popular tropes even if they're not relevant to this character" writers thrive and gain popularity. And where it sucks is that you can feel the lack of sincerity in the latter as they (at times admittedly) only chase popular characters/trends and never seem to have anything to say that isn't just the most stereotypical "fanon-y" takes. But they thrive because that's what has been shown to appeal to the lowest common denominator.

I know having something that you've been passionate about flop when you share it fucking sucks! Part of writing is craving that validation that the idea you've had floating in your skull is worth a damn in some way and to not have that confirmed in any way can be a bitter pill to swallow. But trust me when I say that you CANNOT measure your success on how something performs on tumblr (which is where I'm guessing you shared it).

Measuring a fics worth in likes and reblogs is not an accurate representation of the love that's gone into a piece or how brilliant it truly is. And accepting that is not an easy thing so I hope that you are able to be at peace with that sooner rather than later or you're in for a bad time, love.

I don’t think I’ve ever been more excited while reading a TMNT comic than I am right now. This new crossover series showcases an art style very similar to the old BTAS comics, and the third issue ends with a cliffhanger that introduces Jonathan Crane! I’m eagerly awaiting the next spooky installment!

Hi I saw your question about the Riddler.

I think a good way to differentiate the Joker and The Riddler when it comes to purple is through what shades you use like the Riddler would be in much darker richer purples whereas the Joker would be in like bright purples . Also I think Eddie is a gold kind of guy because it is expensive looking.

But a funny little tidbit The Joker and The Riddler also tend to have orange in both there designs

Right? Sharing three colors is diabolical.

I kinda like joker being in darker purples cuz it reflects his character better. He's not a fun friendly clown in bright happy colors, he's a psychotic criminal, so I think a darker purple would reflect that sentiment.

The yellow or orange in his design indicates [usually] the feeling or happiness and good vibes in general but in his case it also means a warning like caution tape...like hey this guy is a ticking bomb that could go off in any minute.

I still think the brighter magenta replacing the purple could work for his design, as a happy brightness that contrasts with his inner darkness.

I'm interested in experimenting with the shades of his colors

Can't a girl and her gay boyfriend steal from the Vatican?

If myyyyy Catwoman and Riddler did Catwoman: When in Rome, it would be completely different (mainly because my Selina is asian and not white Italian). I think he would start the plan to betray her because sometimes that's what they do. What's a little betrayal between villain besties? But then feel bad and stop executing the plan because he's having such a fun time on vacation with her, so the mafia is just trying to kill them the rest of the time they're in Italy. Then they steal the ring, finish their vacation, and go home. which is significantly less interesting than the real story unless you wanted to read a comic book about them just going on vacation and getting drunk, sunburnt, and eating pasta. Perhaps it would be called Catwoman: Roman Holiday instead.

I do really like her mechanic getup but I’m not yet sold on her riddler costume. It doesn’t feel like hers.

If you guys have any suggestions or cool ideas. Also do you think riddlers should have purple in their designs? I’m personally on the fence about purple and green because it’s so joker. I don’t hate the color combo, just the villain it resembles. I feel like riddler would agree and try to steer away from purple and green.

Purple and black are cool but I’m very for the warm browns too.

Also is riddler a gold or silver gal in your opinion?
