Hangman's speech to the crowd after the show was so much holy shit it's like the most he's spoken uninterrupted in a while, and the first time he's addressed the audience in over a year, and he made it count! Using that time to elaborate on the quiet character work he's been doing for months and months, talking about how 2 years of shame and bitterness and hatred turned him into someone he didn't recognise, how he took it home with him and let it shape the kind of dad he was... Finally taking responsibility for who he became, rather than blaming swerve and the fans for driving him insane. Saying he's trying so, so hard to be different, that this tournament means everything to him because if he can become the champion after all that, it'll have been "worth something" in the end, like he knows he's built up a terrible debt of karma, and he's desperate for the one thing that might lift him out of that black hole and fully redeem him once more - oh god I need him to win but also I need him not to win so he doesn't continue to see his self worth defined by titles 😢 he has my heart in a vice
