Make being healthy more aesthetic and fun.
The basics for having a healthy body is movement and nutrition. I don’t have the motivation to go to the gym every morning and lift weights for 2 hours. But I do have the motivation and enjoyment of going to an adult ballet class once a week and doing streches and simple strength training to prep for class. I don’t make regular meal plans. I search pintrest for cute meal plans and plan to make food that I enjoy like yogurt bowls and empanadas. Make it pretty, make it fun, life is supposed to be enjoyable. Taking care of your health should not be a chore.

When I was a teen I was a little emo kid and also had low iron so I pretended like I was a vampire to get enough iron in my diet. Sometimes you have to get a little creative to get interested in your health.

Add some green to your diet
I love sweets. I don't overly care for greens at all. But one way I've been adding more healthy things into my diet is by drinking green tea more regularly. I sweeten it a lot with honey and it has actually started replacing my morning coffee because it tastes better. Green tea is also good for you to boost your metabolism. I genuinely added like three tablespoons of honey. But what can I say? I like sweet foods. And that is okay because I would much rather enjoy my tea than force myself to drink or eat something that I absolutely hate.

Intro post
Hi! My name is Lee but I’ve only recently adopted that nickname since I decided to stop living my life like the prequel. I started this blog because I want to stop living my life in waiting mode for when I become a “better” version of myself. I’ve realized I’m never going to be skinny enough or have good enough grades or anything like that. I am the best version of myself now and I have to take action now if I want to progress my life. I can’t be put together and be an it girl all the time if I don’t wear my favorite clothes more often and leave my hair unbrushed all day. I have to act like I am living my best life now and soon the habits will build and I will actually have my dream life. This is where I’ll share my journey and hopefully help someone else get their best life.

I can’t believe this took me so long to learn. It is hard to do sometimes but every time I stay true to myself and don’t worry so much about others my mental health seriously skyrockets.
It’s crazy and fucked up that being yourself is actually the solution.

Breakfast is so important
This morning I had a yogurt bowl and water to wake up my metabolism because breakfast is genuinely important. I’ve only come to realize that since I’ve eaten breakfast every day for a week straight and I’ve felt so energetic and more like myself. I haven’t had those midday drops in my energy that ruins my day anymore. I have been able to focus more on my writing and schoolwork. And I think I have actually eaten less overall because i'm not starving at lunch time. And i've felt so much more joy in my hobbies.  To be honest at first I dismissed the idea of breakfast because I was always in a rush in the mornings. But now that I’ve taken the time in the morning to nourish myself I have seen a huge improvement. Now I will definitely keep up this habit. Thank you! 💋
