this is almost a welcome distraction. if the world weren't at stake, i'd be recording and studying everything. we could be rewriting every history book. instead, i'm fighting for a way to sign my own death certificate. and yet, weirdly… i don't feel so bad. one life… my life… against millions. i can live with that. it almost feels like… i was destined to make this choice. somehow. someday. like i was meant to be here for a crisis like this, somehow. i'm okay with it. i'm ready. i'm going to miss iris, though. and ice cream. and polar bears.

yeah, well, i have a bad habit of racing death and winning.

the only control we have in life is in the choices we make. however small, each action has a consequence. and while we can't steer the outcome of every possibility… we can nudge the world in the right direction. at least, that's what i'm going to keep trying to do.

Recently, the Crime Syndicate murdered the Justice League and handed the world over to villains everywhere. For most, it was like Bad Guy Christmas. But when us Rogues refused the Syndicate's orders to destroy out hometown, Central City… we got put on their Naughty List. Now we've got a bounty on out heads-- we're separated from our leader, Captain Cold-- and we're fifteen hundred miles from home… where Glider, the love of my life, lies helpless in coma. All I want is to get back to her and make sure she's safe, but to do that, we're gonna have to go through more of the Syndicate's evil little helpers…

No matter how hard we try, we can't seem to catch a break. Weather Wizard, Heatwave and I have done everything we can to stay ahead of the Syndicate so we can get back to Lisa… back to Glider. She's the real leader of the Rogues. We've already lost Captain Cold and Trickster. Every move we make, it's one step forward and two steps back. I don't know if the odds are just too stacked against us or what but the bottom line is that I failed as a leader. And even worse, I failed the love of my life. I'm sorry I wasn't good enough, Lisa, baby.

If there's one takeaway from all this crazy business is that the Rogues don't fold for anyone! Doesn't matter is the chips are stacked against us, we'll find a way to even the odds.

If it's over for us, then I can accept going down in this twisted world. The Crime Syndicate promised us a world of "Forever Evil" but who the hell wants that garbage?! Not the Rogues. When the Syndicate gets their heads handed to them-- and they will-- I hope people remember that the Rogues didn't have no part of their crazy. We had our own little rebellion against those evil bastards. And if I have to go, at least I did my best to keep you safe. I want you to know, that even in the end we went down like a team… we didn't break our code for no one. Goodbye, baby. I hope when you wake up it's to sunshine and a better world than we left for you. Goodbye Lisa… I love you.
