About that post on angsty/dark zosan ideas, here’s one, but sorry that it’s not a fully developed idea with like plot, but…

Anything with one cannabalizing the other’s heart. The devotion of the meal and consuming what they believe to be the essence of the other so it’s always a part of them. The terrible strength they get from it and how it forever changes their perception of the enemies they kill, doomed to become fresh meat. The slice of sword or a knife become that much deadlier as they better understand the other's craft and the different cuts capable by each method. The blood drawn in a fight more vibrant than anything in their line of sight.

Don’t really know the context around it, or at least there are too many, but yeah, dining on each other’s hearts and the irreversible effects it has on them

Also love the crew hating the person eating for doing this. Them thinking it’s desecrating the dead one’s memories, but only the one consuming knows that this - this is how they keep their memory alive in its purest form

I think i had a similar idea somewhere in the past, not quite like the promt but its the closest one I found, zoro cannibalized sanji and later on haunted by sanji illusion, but he doesn't feel confused, instead he feels fulfilled, like his mind and sanji merged together and they'd stay like that forever, i made him left the crew because thats too fucked, happy ending with the last scene: sanji sit on zoro shoulder, they smile to eachother, both felt relief, the story is okay, i don't like it too much that i can set my mind to finish

The prompt: The nothing happened scene in Thriller Bark. But instead of Zoro knocking Sanji out, they both take the pain. So hand in hand they both out stretch their other hands and take the pain. In the end instead of Zoro standing bloodied by himself, it's the both of them. Hands still held.

I'm looking at the reverse trope prompt thingy and "Soulmates who are destined to kill each other"... yeah.

Sanji knew his soulmate was supposed to kill him. He just didn't know when. You see, people are born with marks on their body, showing what your soulmate will do before you die. Some got a kiss mark on their cheek, some a hand holding their own... Sanji had a very obvious stab through the heart. Judge and his brothers always bullied him more when they remembered it was there. What kind of failure had a soulmate that wanted to kill them?

Some people had no soulmate, like his mother, Zeff, Luffy... he envied those kinds of people. He lied about not having one and if he was asked about the scar, he said it was an incident while fighting. If they didn't believe him, they didn't say anything. He always wondered who was the unlucky bastard who had to live after he had to kill his soulmate, but he tried not to think about it too much.

One soul mark he was jealous of, was Zoro's. He had a light hand cupping his cheek which meant that before him or his soulmate died, Zoro would feel the caress of his lover one last time. It was unfair how some people could be loved beyond death's restraints.

Sanji's hair slowly started turning back to blond, as he felt himself regaining control. The pain in his chest felt familiar and comforting even as he bled out. His soulmark was comforting him. He looked up at Zoro's terrified eyes, scared and shocked as if he couldn't recognize what he'd done. But all Sanji could do was smile.

His soulmate didn't hate him, it wasn't murder out of rage or hatred. No, it was an act of mercy. A promise kept.

With his last strength, he reached out to wipe his tear away.

"I'm glad it was you."

Everything faded to black
