haneul had a lost a large number of her followers after the scandal had been leaked, however she was sure that she'd have plenty of people that would be tuning into her life on the show. the hope that the cameras being on them would help her reach out to find new fans to support her career in the future. the former trainee had been making her around the garden before she stopped to take in the view from the rooftop. "i think it's kind of interesting, and also probably comforting to others to see the representation." haneul replied. "unfortunately i wouldn't be hopeful, those moments can easily be something to get the audience laughing."
who : honey + anyone. @seoulmatestart where : rooftop garden party status : 0/3 [ open ]
honey stood near the edge of the rooftop, gazing out at the city lights below as the party buzzed behind her. she’d been making her rounds, chatting with a few of the other residents, but now she needed a little breather—just for a minute. it was weird, being filmed like this. part of her loved the attention, the idea that people might actually care about her life, but there was always that nagging awkwardness that came with the cameras. "i can't believe there are people out there actually interested in watching us in our day to day lives..." she mumbled to herself, glancing around, hoping to catch the attention of someone close to her to break the awkwardness of standing alone. "i wonder if they’ll edit out the part where i inevitably trip over my own feet later."

"aren't we all here partially for that reason?" as much as madee herself didn't want to admit that, she was there to potentially meet someone that she could date in seoul. "i'm sure that we all have our reasons for being here, but is it also not the point for us to mingle and potentially date? would that not require coming here with the purpose of wanting someone to be attracted to you in some sort of way?" the artist can't blame the other for being defensive to her previous comment. "i don't think that a lot of us truly know what to expect of this, however try to keep a positive outlook."
˚₊‧꒰ა . — ˗ˏˋ ✮ ˎˊ˗ — ˖ ໒꒱ ‧₊˚ —— sunhee felt her chest tighten, her jaw clenching slightly as she stared at the other woman. the words stung more than she wanted to admit, even if they were truthful. she forced a tight smile, though it didn’t quite reach her eyes. “i’m not being whiny,” she shot back, her voice colder than she intended. “and i didn’t say anything about wanting someone to be attracted to me, i’m fine.” her fingers curled into the fabric of her dress, and she quickly looked away, not wanting to show how much the comment had gotten under her skin. “honestly,” she added, trying to keep her voice steady, “i’m not asking for attention. i just don’t really know what to expect, and i don’t like that.”

getting out onto the dancefloor with the music was exactly what was needed for the former trainee. feeling the music and moving her body would help calm the nerves she felt in the moment. since coming out she hadn't been surrounded by this many people that were similar to her and it was maybe a little overwhelming. "what is your career?" haneul asked the other. body swaying already to the music playing from the speaker. "shall we dance then?"
standing at the sidelines wasn't how gaeun wanted this night to go. she hadn't signed up for this show to not make some kind of impact on herself while she healed from her injury, she needed to get herself out there. looking at the other, she sees in her physique which spoke of how she had honed her body in dancing, just as gaeun had in figure skating for a lot of her life. " while i did not train in dance, my career does revolve around being light on my feet and graceful. i'm sure that will translate to dance. "

drinking was not something that haneul really partook in. during the year that she had taken off from her idol career she had spent staying in despite it being the time that she had just become old enough to drink. however with the nerves of meeting everyone in the apartment through this party she was letting the buzz of the alcohol take the edge off. standing next to the other as she nursed her drink when the other spoke up. "i'm honestly sure that they probably would." she agreed with the other. "i'm not a bad dancer, spent too many years honing that skill. but i also won't judge you."

truthfully gaeun wasn't much of a drinker, it wasn't something that she had time to indulge in with her often busy schedule. but with things changing since her injury and signing up for seoulmates, she didn't see why she couldn't have a few. at this point gaeun was probably two deep, some kind of fruity drinks that were very tasty and not at all what a lightweight like her was used to. she felt good and this was supposed to be a party right? " there's music but no one is dancing. i think the producers would love it if they got some of us dancing during the party, right ? " but she couldn't dance alone, no it would took at least two to dance. " i won't laugh if you're a bad dancer, i promise. "

jang wonyoung, lesbian demisexual, cisfemale, she/her. ♡ now entering the apartment building is son haneul, a twenty year old who is currently an ex-idol trainee. netizens have said they seem self-centered but others have said they’re dedicated ! gossip aside, we’re sure they’re bound to be a fan favorite !
background.
born and raised in seoul. hanuel wanted to become an idol from as little as eleven years old. watching the groups around at the time she was growing up she used to learn the dances as a little preteen. picked up as a trainee when she was fourteen, she spent three years training before she was selected by her company to compete on a survival show. however she was eliminated in the final episode.
after she failed to debut, she was caught in a scandal regarding her sexuality. the company dropped her almost immediately. she spent a year just relaxing at home with her family after the survival show.
when she heard about seoulmates she decided to take the opportunity. wanting to become successful still as an idol while being publicly out as a lesbian. the show being geared towards lesbians would likely attract the people that she needed to support her in her career after the show.
personality.
earning the reputation of being self centered came from haneul's time on the survival show. being a leader was never something that she had in her idea of her future as an idol so she had kept to herself a little. especially when it came to helping the other trainee's in learning the songs and choreographies. though haneul will keep herself first if it benefits her.
with a goal set for herself haneul will not stop going for that goal. that is the exact reason that she signed up for the show. just a means to help grow her career as an idol.
connections.
friends: could be from school, from also being a trainee, and of course new friends made on the show.
crush: someone that she immediately was like i want to talk to them.
scandal partner: it'd be cool if the other party in her scandal also was a part of the show..

parties were never really madee's thing, and this one still wasn't something she could say that she was enjoying thoroughly. while she wouldn't consider herself to be the most sociable she could still hold a decent conversation while she was required to. "just because they are getting closer this quickly doesn't mean that you won't find someone." the artist replied. shrugging her shoulders at the comment. "i'm not telling you this to offend you, but no one is going to be attracted to someone being whiny about not getting attention."

˚₊‧꒰ა . — ˗ˏˋ ✮ ˎˊ˗ — ˖ ໒꒱ ‧₊˚ — — it's her first party since... you know. discovering herself, so to speak. she isn't exactly sure how she feels. several years ago she was the center of attention at parties - now she felt out of place. uncertain. "they make me feel like a loser," she whines, motioning to the duo in the distance who are giggling and getting a little too close to one another. she takes a sip of what should probably be her last drink for the night. "they're cute." and i want that. it's probably nothing serious, sure - but still... "i used to be popular at parties. this is a totally different ballgame though, i think..."

being in front of the cameras is not something that madee is remotely comfortable with. somehow convinced to go on a show that airs a large portion of her life was leaving her thinking of her choices. the first gathering already overwhelming the introverted female. slipping into a quiet, tucked away corner to collect herself for a moment. turning to look at the other as she entered the same space. "can you blame me?" madee chuckles softly. "yeah you can join me."
Open Starter for @seoulmatestart
Location: Rooftop Garden for Event #1
Soo is an extroverted person at heart, and loves a good party, but even she can get overwhelmed. Especially with all the lights and cameras everywhere. She managed to slip away from the lenses, and find a little corner somewhere, however it appeared Soo's sanctuary of peace had been taken by another already.
"Damn, you also trying to hide for a bit? Mind if I join you?"

faye peraya, lesbian, female, she/her. ♡ now entering the apartment building is madee suttikul, a twenty-nine year old who is currently an artist. netizens have said they seem nonchalant but others have said they’re creative ! gossip aside, we’re sure they’re bound to be a fan favorite !
background.
madee was born in ao nang, thailand. both of her parents were well off and she was raised with the idea of being held to an impossible standard with them. it wasn't until she came out to her parents that things really blew up for her. as soon as she was able to she applied for art schools that could get her away from her parents.
at 19 she was accepted into snu, earning herself a degree in art history. after school she continued to stay in korea while selling the art that she makes to earn a living. she rents a small studio that she uses to do all of her painting.
since coming to korea she has not been in contact with her family. though a part of her misses the beach in ao nang, she does not wish to return to her parents after how everything had been for her.
going into the show wasn't necessarily something that she jumped at the chance for. however her friend convinced her to join because at the bare minimum it would put her name out there as an artist. a bonus she could find love at the same time.
personality.
madee was always a creative person, from finger painting as a child to high school where she spent all of her time in front of a canvas. constantly itching to put her mind onto canvas.
a front of being nonchalant started as a teenager. easier to act like you don't care that your parents are homophobic than be reactive and constantly fight with them. while that started with her family it continued into her everyday life even after she left home.
madee has a fairly masculine style, typically does not wear make up.
connections.
friends: especially the one that convinced her to join the show. also new friends made once arriving in the apartment.
flirtationship: someone that she is potentially interested in, bonus if they are the one that flirts with her first.
enemies: because i like juicy shit i would love to have someone that just rubs madee the wrong way, and let's be honest the show would love to capitalize on that.
