self-confidence, i’m realizing, is a lot deeper than just thinking i’m beautiful and being free in who i am. it also includes being confident in my decisions and trusting myself to be committed to the things i want to do. to step outside of my comfort zone and assure myself that i will be okay in doing so. this kind of self-confidence will help me see the success i want to see.

Sashaying my way into 23 like! 😏🙈 . Okay this is where I'll be getting a bit emosh so bare with. A few of you have been following me on my fitness journey and boy oh boy how I appreciate the messages and snaps, especially the people who tell me I motivate or inspire them because I honestly think "little old me, seriosuly :o?" But your all being deadly serious and it encourages me not to give up on days that I don't want to do it because it inspires you too. But this journey is not about how I look, honestly what keeps me going is how I feel and the person I'm becoming. Dedicating to a fitness journey has made me so mentally and emotionally resilient, I am stronger and softer. I'm the most confident and healthy I've ever been in my life. I thank God and the Universe for blessing me with the breath of life, I hope I'm graced with it for a long time to carry out my purpose on this planet. Learning to love myself day by day. . . Appointment in Samarra

A merchant of Baghdad was sipping tea in his garden when his servant ran up to him, breathless and trembling. “Master,” he cried. “I have just seen Death in your garden. She pointed at me with such a ghastly stare that I knew she had come for me.” “So you have seen Death,” the merchant replied, “as each man must. I understand your alarm.” “I must leave Baghdad and go far away from Death. I have a brother in Samarra. I will go there tonight, Master, and escape my fate.” “Then take my swiftest horse, and go with my blessing.” As the hoofbeats of the fleeing servant faded in his ears, the merchant, curious, walked through his gardens to confront Death. “My servant has done no harm. Why do you disturb him with your ghastly stare?” Death smiled. “I did not mean to. I was merely surprised to see him in Baghdad when I have an appointment with him this evening, at his brother’s house in Samarra.”
