Waterproof electrical connectors performance standard
The currently manufactured waterproof electrical connectors has two identification feature numbers. What is known is the strength of the protection. First, starting from the first digital identification, the number from 0 to 6.0 indicates no protection, not to mention here. The degree of protection of 1 prevents objects larger than 50 mm from entering. The degree of protection of 2 prevents objects larger than 12 mm from entering. The degree of protection of 2 prevents immersion of water droplets inclined at 15 degrees. The degree of protection of 3 prevents damage from intrusion of water sprayed from vertical <60 directions. The degree of protection of 4 prevents splashing water from entering. The degree of protection of 5 prevents the sprayed water from immersing in the appliance. The degree of protection of 6 prevents the infiltration of large waves of water. The degree of protection of 7 prevents the performance of the appliance from being affected when immersed in water. The degree of protection of 8 can completely sink the connector in the water and the appliance is not affected. Waterproof connectors used in various industries have different protection properties and can be purchased as needed.
