It took Rosemary a minute to respond to Catherine. “Oh, sorry, I tend to zone out while I’m focusing on my magic stuff.” She apologized. “I can show you some of my spells, but right now I’m working on this assignment Ms. Maria gave to me. It’s a potion that temporarily makes you invisible.”  

Rosemary thought carefully for a moment. “I don’t know if I can teach you.” She answered honestly. “Well, I can teach you how to make charms and things like that, but doing spells? That’s tricky. Some people are born able to do magic........Others are not.”

“Is it okay if I watch?” Catherine ventured, leaning over Rosemary’s shoulder to peer into the cauldron in front of her.  “You promised I could see you…is casting the right term?  Casting one of your spells?  I don’t know all of the magic terminology yet.  Do you think you could teach me some that, too?”  When Rosemary didn’t answer at first, the other girl immediately went quiet and hugged her book to her chest.  I’m talking too much…

She looked at Betsy and the drink, but made no move for it. “....Thank you....” The girl muttered. Brown hazel eyes looked back briefly at the cheering, before focusing back on the women. “I don’t know who they are.....But it seems like lately every time I’m alone, there’s a small group of men that try to approach me.” 

Rosemary sighs. “I try not to make pa worry more than he already does...........We thought they stopped after I made that scene, but looks like they’re back.”

She chuckled. “Of course, his name being Riddler makes total sense!” Rosemary seemed happy she now knew his name for sure. “Ca-lamb-ity.” She thought for a moment. “Oh, right, that is Ridley’s sister. I’ve only seen her once or twice at Ridley’s house, that I had trouble remembering her name. Hehe, I guess, I need to work on that.”

“......” She looks at the ground. “......Thank you.....”

She straightens out her dress. “I’m not just one of Zeke’s friends. I’m his sister.” Rosemary says with a strange sense of pride. She likes both of her big brothers a lot, they have helped her get used to so much in Gotham. “Ridley is one of my best friends. She’s the daughter of, uhhhh, the guy who asks a lot of questions….I don’t know his rogue name for certain, but Pa let me meet him. The green question man is her father.”

I probably won’t be on much until next week, but who knows?

“Ohhhhh, I hope I didn’t do this.” She cursed at herself.

“I’m Rosemary.” She extends a hand to him. “Thank you, it can be a pain sometimes.”
