HAPPY MARIO DAY!

Thank you, matriculation exams, for beginning tomorrow and making me unable to find motivation to draw and repeat stuff instead, but at least I've been doodling the bros. in my free time so that I can at least post something!

Now I usually don't celebrate this day, mainly because in Europe the date is "10 Mar" so I never really notice, but I figured since it's the original Super Mario Bros.' 40th anniversary this year, I had to post something!

Dam I love these boys tho, thank you so much Mario & Luigi series for showing their true bond compared to the platformers, I can't get enough of their cuteness and wholesomeness in the series! It's so important to both my childhood and my now adult self!

Ok yada yada, the art is most important, so enjoy the day!!!

Monke game art. Donkey Kong country is a good game franchise. I am hyperfixating on it and had to make some art. Dixie kong especially is so HECCIN adorable!!

Might not be the best, I'm still learning, but I think they're worthy of posting :)

We celebrate on the 24th here in Finland so tomorrow's not as special, but I managed to make this quickie!

(Special thanks to @Wooftek for the idea of Sharki from a gift he made for me, they will definitely be appearing a lot with Strawi in the future now once I get a proper design sheet for them ^v^)

Today, 6th December, Finland celebrates it's Independence! And tomorrow, the 7th I celebrate the day of my self-discovery as agender! Two very important days to me, so I tried to kinda combine the two here!

Finally caught up and finished drawing the shonkies, mening other projects are now on the way! I truly had fun this year with these drawings again, despite not going as hard and being more sketchy. But it allowed me to experiment more, so that's pretty cool methinks.

Day 17 - Electric shark

A broken cable may be really dangerous, but it also can create spectacle!

Now an adult, I step into the future the same way I've done as a kid, without fear and with optimism. Except this time, I'm not scared to hang onto my memories from my childhood. Who would I be without them, after all?

Day 11 + 15 - Castle and civilization

A sunken castle has been discovered by a civilization of curious sharks, who now hunt for treasure and live in harmony in the still intact parts of the castle.

So uh, I was sketching for the castle prompt, it being a sunken castle that sharks now reside in, but then I realized today that "Oh shoot, I made a shark civilization here too without noticing!" Hope the liberties taken here still qualify this one, cause I kinda loved how this artstyle turned out!

Day 13 - Glass shark

Glass sculpture shark! Tried limiting myself with the shape here, making it round like glass sculptures commonly are!

Tried a quickie lineless style here! Not too familiar on D & D, but I hope my Google research on druids got the vibe! Made the sharkie feral cause I wanted a challenge!

Day 7 - Shark healer

What if nurse sharks' names weren't coincidences and they had a hidden power?

Really loved the idea with the name pun here! The drawing turned out better than I thought it would too!

Day 5 - Cat shark

Lil' blacktip reef cat, cause they already have thin pupils and splotches so I thought they'd fit perfect for this prompt :P

Day 3 - Shark plush

Everyone knows the iconic Blåhaj plush from Ikea! (Not spelled with an "a" instead of "å", that is linguistically so incorect, you English speakers don't even know!) But were you aware Ikea has yet another sharkie friend in their stores, one who is more colorful and doubles as a hand puppet?

This is "Sagoskatt" (Translates to "Fairytale treasure")!

I have one of my own! Actually got it as a present at the same time as my own Blåhaj! I won't let sagoskatt go ignored since I love it, so I'll be the one to draw this cutie to bring awareness to Blåhaj's not as popular sibling! Sorry if the drawing is just a colored sketch this time, I don't have too much motivation today.

Day 1 - Space shark

Came up with the idea of an aesthetically cosmic and space themed shark here! (+ cute lil star as its tail, my fav part)

Hoping to be more active due to sharktober now, as I loved doing the prompts last year and hope to fullfill the list fully again!

(Even if I got a big drawing planned for the 17th since that's my birthday, but regardless!)
