just curious, how is everything going with the rp and rp server creation?

Hey! We appreciate you reaching out! We've been meaning to make a post about this, but for a simple explanation:

We were incredibly close to completion, and still are, don't worry! But both me and Sami collectively had a lot of stuff happen in our personal lives that halted our track to opening. Things like personal familial stuff, school starting soon, work related, travel issues and so much more have kept us incredibly occupied with our personal matters in the past month.

Don't think we've forgotten, though!! We still plan on opening, we just need to navigate our time to make sure we can get it all polished and ready for everyone to join. We want it to be a seamless transition to open, and have all our stuff ready so everyone can have a smooth start!

We'll keep y'all updated with news, and will definitely have some more progress very soon!

Once more I apologize for our extended absence! I personally am out of state currently and while I'm slowly working on stuff on the sidelines, I haven't had time to do much. However, rest assured we are still working hard to get everything ready for opening!

how does time work within the roleplay? is it a 1 irl day = 1 rp day with rollover at midnight? Is it a general 1 month = 1 Moon with no rollover till the end of that month? Also! What is the setup looking like? Is it just channels or do you all utilize discord threads? Thanks!

Regarding timing, we're planning on being pretty lenient with it. The overall idea will be that one month = one moon, with a gathering happening on the 15th of every month. Half-moon gatherings, we're playing by ear but would love to have them on the weeks surrounding the 15th, to coincide with their half-moon naming, but that depends on availability.

However, if we track timing strictly based on 1 irl month = 1 moon, it can get a little confusing. For one, it seems a big unrealistic to role play an apprentice for 6+ months just for them to become a warrior, especially when we're trying to predict our longevity. With that in mind, our aging up rule goes as followed:

We have two ways to age up apprentices/characters. The first being every 15th of the month, we will go through the list of apprentices and offer age ups for the players. If they approve the age up, we will promote them to warriors for the gathering. If you do not wish to wait till the next month, or want to promote in the middle of the month, we also have the option of buying your age up via the shop.

So in short, yes, we typically follow 1 irl month = 1 rp moon, with a few changes here and there. You are free to role play time how you wish within your threads, and you are not limited to irl days to continue onto a new day, however you must keep in mind the gatherings are on the 15th of every month and that signifies a new moon if you will.

As for our server setup, here's some preview pics!

We will be utilizing forums in our server, instead of threads. We believe forums allow for more creativity and easier ways of functioning than threads. A breakdown of each territory's category:

Information: This will house all territory information you will need to know about your Clan / area. This channel will be locked, and only used for housing any information you might need to know.

Rapidfire: Any group roleplays that may not require too many in-depth responses, are wished to be quickly completed, etc. can be posted here. Within this channel, one-lined responses are permitted. Think old school chatroom style role play

Threads: More one-on-one role plays that fall into more novella/multi-paragraphed role plays will be done within the forums.

Regarding Tupperbox, we are not formally requiring you to utilize tuppers, however it is there if you are experienced and wish to use it.

We haven't had much time to look over them or play with the allegiances, but do not worry, they are still open! We are currently getting things together as we inch closer towards opening. Tonight though, we've gone through some applications and will be updating the allegiances shortly.

Please do not take in character disputes and drama into out of character spaces. Whatever is happening between characters does not reflect your relationship with the other player. Remember, players =/= characters.

[02] Be mindful of how you navigate the server and interact with it.

This means be careful not to spam chats, keep chats organized and be mindful of how you treat others. While swearing and general mature discussions can be allowed, please keep in mind those around you. Follow the golden rule and treat others how you wish to be treated.

[03] We are strictly an 18+ role play server.

You are required to be eighteen years of age or older to join and interact with this server. If you are caught being under the age of eighteen, you will be banned without question. Furthermore, just because we are 18+ does not mean we are a NSFW space, so please keep the chats SFW!

[04] We are LGBTQIA/POC/neurodivergent friendly.

We welcome everyone from all walks of life here. Bigotry of any kind is not tolerated here, be it homophobia, racism, ableism, transphobia or anything ending with -phobia or -ism. If you cannot respect others, you are not welcome here.

[05] Please do not advertise other role play servers.

While we may open up affiliations or partnerships in the future, we currently do not accept them and do not allow advertising other role plays within this server. [01] God modding or power playing is forbidden.

We understand Warriors has a somewhat fantasy setting, but there are limits. Communicate with your role play partner fully to understand what is acceptable. Do not do anything to other character's without the other player's consent. (i.e., disease transfer, death, violence, etc.)

[02] Specified purebred cats are forbidden, except for the occasional kittypet.

To keep in line with realism, please refrain from specifically describing a Clan cat as a purebred. Kittypets are the only rank that will be allowed to specify a purebred. You may allude your character and design to specific breeds, but no cat will be treated as a purebred in the Clans.

[03] Only one name per role play.

Only one iteration of a name will be used per server. (i.e., since Sunbay is already an accepted character, no other character in the role play may be named Sunbay.) This ruling only applies for non-leader names.

[04] If avoidable, no names of major Warrior Cats' characters.

If they are a main character, please refrain from using their name. Obviously, there are some exceptions and it's not entirely possible to avoid every name used in the series. Some choice names that are banned are any characters that have point of views in the series, as well as main overarching side characters.

[05] No explicit diagnoses for mental illnesses.

Since mental illnesses are a very nuanced and are a sensitive discussion, we have elected to ban the portrayal of explicit mental illnesses in this server. While it is okay to have your character portray traits of a mental illness, and have their own struggles, please refrain from diagnosing your characters officially.

[06] NSFW topics are allowed, but sexual content is strictly forbidden.

Warriors is not always a safe for work series, with its graphic depictions of violence and death. With that in mind, our staff has decided to allow gore and violence provided it follows in line with rule [01] and is put in spoiler texts. However, any sexual content is strictly forbidden. We will not allow any sort of sexual role play between cats in this server.

[07] Relationships may only be developed by Warrior-age characters.

Characters must have reached Warrior rank within the Clans to be eligible to be in a relationship with another cat. This also means that warrior/apprentice relationships are strictly prohibited within this server. Characters are allowed to have crushes as apprentices, but only warrior-aged characters will be allowed to enter relationships regardless of how long they've been an apprentice or how long you've role played them as such.

[08] This server is strictly against the use of any AI work.

To protect everyone's integrity of writers and artists alike, we prohibit the use of any AI in this server. This includes using AI art as your character references and writing role play replies with AI, be it written entirely by AI or assisted.

[09] Your first character must be a Clan cat.

In order to fill up Clans first, your first character must be a Clan cat. You are allowed four character slots upon joining, with the intention that you can make one character per Clan. However, this is just a suggestion, and after you make your first Clan cat, you're free to use the other three slots for other roles if you so desire. You can also check out our shop to buy more character slots and gain access to the roles of kittypets, loners and rogues.

[10] You must have a character in each Clan before making multiple cats in a Clan.

To ensure Clans are filled, please have a character in each Clan before adding another cat into a Clan you already are in. (i.e., if you started out in SunClan, your next cats must be in either MoonClan, DawnClan or DuskClan.)

[11] Character death is permitted and not required to be run by staff to approve.

It is up to you when you feel your character's time is up. Once you have killed off a character, please alert staff so we can add them to the deceased allegiances, however this does not mean you need our approval to end your depiction of a character. With this in mind, once you have killed off a character, you forfeit the character slot for them and cannot role play them anymore, effectively retiring them.

[12] Aging up

We have two ways to age up apprentices/characters. The first being every 15th of the month, we will go through the list of apprentices and offer age ups for the players. If they approve the age up, we will promote them to Warriors for the Gathering. If you do not wish to wait till the next month, or want to promote in the middle of the month, we also have the option of buying your age up via the shop. Regarding Warrior names, the player of the apprentice has the choice to either pick it out themselves, or leave it up to the leader of their Clan to create one for them. However, if you chose to let the leader decide, in the words of life, you get what you get and you don't throw a fit.

[13] Activity checks

This server understands that our players are adults who have busy lives (staff included.) We require one post per player each month. Even if you have four characters, if you post on one, you will be considered active for the month. If you have a high-ranking position, please be mindful of this and take on what you can handle for it. Activity checks may be changed in the future depending.

[14] Please be literate to the best of your ability in your writing.

We do not follow a character limit for your role play responses, but please be considerate of others' lengths and effort put into their writing. We expect our players to be literate and write in the English language for the understanding of all community members. Obviously, no one's perfect, even native English speakers, but please try your best!

[15] It is required that you keep a personal document on your character's adventures.

We require you personally document your character's relationships and role play story lines. We as staff are not responsible for the upkeep of your character.

i’m applying and the rank part really isn’t clear, i’m guessing based off name changes. but to help some, can you explain the ranks please?

We follow the standard Warriors ranks, with a slight twist. For any questions on how the rank system works in Warriors, I recommend checking out Warriors Wiki's guide on Clan terminology, specifically their Clan ranks section.

Our role play for the most part runs on this system with only two changes. Medicine cats are now deemed "Healers" and we added the role of a permanent queen and named it "Caretakers" so it's not limited to a gendered term. An ask about caretakers might help with an explanation on it.

We are currently working on a document that will be posted soon that will detail all of our changes, not just ranks, so people can have a better understanding of what to expect within this role play! The document will also cover the lore reasons of why.

What exactly does this mean for present and future moments? Is what I'm sure you're wondering, or wondering if you still have a place here. The short answer is - yes, if you have a reserve, you do have a place with us! However, it will be required to fill out our application upfront prior to opening. Even if you have already had a reserve approved and written in the allegiances document, you must submit an application prior to opening. This is non-negotiable!

What this means though, is that everyone now has access to our application. For transparency sake, it was beefed up a little more to be in line with the fact we will be application-based. Applications will remain open until we open!

Upon entering the server, you will be required to verify your application through Appy, so be sure to read the application thoroughly and remember what you entered and what was in it. Our application for staff closes tonight at 11PM CST. [in ~6 hrs.]

We have found one staff member who has accepted our invitation to join. We are currently waiting to close the application to seek out a second person for opening. We are looking for someone who is thorough, and willing to provide the time to help out come soft-opening and our official launch. We have no predictions as to what these opening phases will look like, so we're being a bit picky in who we decide to bring on, especially with our founder (me) potentially being away during some of the soft launch.

After we open, however, we will be more lenient in finding moderators who will be more part time. If we decide to not choose another staff member to help us prepare for opening, we will continue to keep the applications we received and utilize the same forum for after we open to bring on more moderators.

Lore Writer: Sami is technically my co-founder, and as her title assumes, she has done most of the lore work surrounding the role play. For all operational purposes, she is also an administrator.

Administrators: Admins will help out with the upkeep of our social medias, promotions and advertisements, as well as operational functions such as kick/banning, organization, posting approved characters, and lore writing. They will also help assist in promotions of players to staff.

Moderators: Moderators are more on the operational side of things. Mods will help assist in approving beginner applications, keep chats in check, update gathering/half-moon dates when necessary, help approve characters, etc.

As time goes on, and I become stronger and learn to type at the speed of light, I will have a complete breakdown of staff roles made, but for the sake of this Tumblr post, and for the transparency of my expectations, here's what I have so far!

However, this is just a suggestion, and after you make your first Clan cat, you're free to use the other three slots for other roles if you so desire. [10] You must have a character in each Clan before making multiple cats in a Clan.

To ensure Clans are filled, please have a character in each Clan before adding another cat into a Clan you already are in. (i.e., if you started out in SunClan, your next cats must be in either MoonClan, DawnClan or DuskClan.)

[11] Character death is permitted and not required to be run by staff to approve.

It is up to you when you feel your character's time is up. Once you have killed off a character, please alert staff so we can add them to the deceased allegiances, however this does not mean you need our approval to end your depiction of a character. With this in mind, once you have killed off a character, you forfeit the character slot for them and cannot role play them anymore, effectively retiring them.

[12] Aging up

We have two ways to age up apprentices/characters. The first being every 15th of the month, we will go through the list of apprentices and offer age ups for the players. If they approve the age up, we will promote them to Warriors for the Gathering. If you do not wish to wait till the next month, or want to promote in the middle of the month, we also have the option of buying your age up via the shop. Regarding Warrior names, the player of the apprentice has the choice to either pick it out themselves, or leave it up to the leader of their Clan to create one for them. However, if you chose to let the leader decide, in the words of life, you get what you get and you don't throw a fit.

[13] Activity checks

This server understands that our players are adults who have busy lives (staff included.) We require one post per player each month. Even if you have four characters, if you post on one, you will be considered active for the month. If you have a high-ranking position, please be mindful of this and take on what you can handle for it. Activity checks may be changed in the future depending.

[14] Please be literate to the best of your ability in your writing.

We do not follow a character limit for your role play responses, but please be considerate of others' lengths and effort put into their writing. We expect our players to be literate and write in the English language for the understanding of all community members. Obviously, no one's perfect, even native English speakers, but please try your best!

[15] It is required that you keep a personal document on your character's adventures.

We require you personally document your character's relationships and role play story lines. We as staff are not responsible for the upkeep of your character.

Yes that's fine! ✧

We don't have any guidelines regarding physical anomalies or disabilities. Polydactyl cats are absolutely allowed!

Have you been following us and wanting to help out? Rii and Sami are currently looking for a candidate for moderator in our server. We are a small team of two and we will need some extra help come soft opening & official launch to help streamline getting characters in!
