how did you improve your art did you just practice overtime your art is amazing

What I started doing was doing warm ups of at least 10 figure sketches before starting anything and I also started watching other artists' work process (this in particular helped me a lot I think! you can learn new methods for things)

But really what helped me most was that I started drawing things that I have a lot of fun with! that keeps me drawing every day.

i like drawing hands so i wanted to try the 4 arm tenna idea

and spamton is a freak

since my design of Tenna has a very exposed torso (like his wiring) I like to think that Spamton at some point helped him cover those up for his own safety (this does not stop him from playing with them tho)

this is a bit different, more of a rant? this is a redraw from the picture below. Two months apart? Three months or so ago I kinda got back into drawing fully rendered pieces again after almost 5? years of not having the motivation to even finish sketches or look at them for more than 5 minutes without hating them. But a couple of months ago I decided to start over. I went a bit backwards and started looking for references and watching speedpaints of some of my favorite splash artists (some of them put a lot of useful info on their description) and I kept drawing every day (almost). I even started doing 60sec figure sketches for warmups! Started forcing myself to work on more backgrounds and learned a couple more techniques

I hate looking at this ^ but after finally getting my pacing back after so many years of being drained out from failures from college and not so good art professors AND working at a job that just kept getting worse and worse?

I think I'm finally a bit happier now.

(big shoutout to toby for making deltarune and characters that have brought me back from my horrible artblock! They make drawing fun again)

normally I draw Tenna having break downs, today I give ya Spamton having a freak out.

I like to think still that he was probably lied about the prophecy so that he would actively do what the prophecy says without him knowing

Spamton being like a bird that is sensitive to certain touch is what I headcanon now. Tenna tail added to emphasize that golden retriever energy.

and yes. Tenna is, in fact, rubbing his nose on his neck

they'll figure out how to handle things and definitely not abandon and hate each other in the foreseeable future

Tenna has some marks whenever he moves/opens his mouth cause age BUT ALSO.

today i woke up and decided to try imagining what each addison would like as a bird (since now i like the idea of birdie spamton)

i think spamton was just very plain (even his tail) while the others were way more colorful and eyecatching. i drew the yellow one most similar in shape to him, therefore, he envies them most.

ALSO they all have that little tuff of fur/feathers similar to how spam has the ones that look like sideburns

(also i think all addisons look the "same" but have different body types even if slightly)
