Thank you!! @pfdiva and I got to talking about representation and robots and figuring out how to approach representation with characters that are, you know, not human. I chickened out on it before by trying to lean into a more robot look but, by the nature of human features/caucasian normativity, ambiguously racial or “non” racial character tend to read as white, and that’s Not Great. Diva really encouraged me to stop being such a baby and just go for it, and xe had a lot of cool ideas (like suggesting a combination of john boyega and chadwick boseman for references for speak, which like, 👌, and also mincer being smol and redheaded). I’m so glad you like them!!

Concept: When things started to get Bad, the entire dev team + FUTURE were mandated to do a team building day, complete with matching t-shirts. FUTURE not only was given a shirt itself, but kept it.

I'm sure the whole day went fine and everyone's skin was still attached to their own bodies by the end of it.
