In May I started this little personal challenge to do as many pages as I can a month in the smallest arts creation sketchbook. Just to get myself to stick with a sketching habit. Here are the ones from June. About a month late, but none the less...

Decided to give making my own watercolors a go again. It's a lot of effort and trial and error, and therefore frustration. But when it works out as planned it's so satisfying.

I am happy with most of them 😊

It's Saturday, 7 am. I have anxiety. I am over worked, over stretched and in that peculiar space time, where I have the time and yet I have no time. To be exact I have some time, and I am overwhelmed with the possibilities of what I can do with that time.

I am in my 40s... Can you imagine? I cannot.

I don't know much. In fact I know very little. But I think I know something. Finally I feel like I know something. And that something is, you have to make stuff. You have to try things. Useless things, with no plan, make it badly, make it half way, whatever little things come to mind. Press that flower, grow something from seed, bake, dance, sign, draw, paint your kitchen cabinets blue or green or orange, talk to the neighbours dog.

The thoughts are chaos and there is a train in a fog I am trying to catch. Somewhere in here is a truth I know. But it's slippery. It only comes when I do those things that on the surface have no value, but yet are the only things that do.

I love ducks. Ducks are top tier birds. Have you ever seen them waddle? And that little quack sound. I mean just look them. I love them.

This weekend I discovered a new semi wild forestry area for hikes. Can't wait to come back here when the leaves are leafing. Also there were so many ducks. I don't have a good enough camera to take duck pictures though :(

Wow, breathtaking

Japan's Akatsuki spacecraft, which has been orbiting Venus since 2015, has captured a remarkably clear image of the planet's atmosphere. This image was taken using its infrared camera, revealing detailed features of Venus' cloud structure and atmospheric dynamics

Frank and pumpkin.

Frank is a rescue monstera plant. Frank was found on the flour of a local grocery store, escaping his tiny pot, with a tag of 10$. Frank is unruly, he insists on growing too large too fast. Pumpkin loves Frank. I already have a fully grown Frank Jr, and a new Frank Jr from the cuttings and very soon they will take over my home. Send help.

Birdwatching is great because you get to be in touch with nature and learn something about your surroundings, but I also love it because birds make me laugh. Look at these goofballs! I am sure I will go through all these emotions this week too 😆
