lesbian does not mean attracted to vagina
lesbian means attracted to women and only women, and thats it.
stop reducing women to their genitals, and stop invalidating trans lesbians and their girlfriends.

A Response to National Siblings Day for People Who’ve Been Kicked Out
Love to people who are having a hard time with national siblings day--people kicked out, people with complex relationships with family of origin, people not in contact with family of origin, people with chosen families, survivors of abuse, people who are alone. We can hold and be with each other as we are. Love & gentleness.

A reaction to the term “slacktivism.”
There are many ways to be an activist. Bed/home activism by sick & disabled folks is not "slacktivism"--with historical/present realities of labor that's exploitative erased and undervalued on many levels for multiply marginalized people, a major redefinition of work and contribution is necessary. Meaningful revolutionary work happens from beds from homes from institutions & prisons in isolation--the work stemming from survival

"If what is making a person ‘toxic’ is the hardship and stigma of their oppression, then there is no option to NOT be toxic, for that person. It’s a stain that can’t be removed, and a trauma that is unresolvable because it is lived. With agency removed, we have condemned a person’s existence as criminal. ‘Toxic’ as an inhabited space is a necessary construct to distract us from the reality of toxicity. The poison of late capitalism is in all of us, all the time, moving in and out. We can let that fear convince us to accumulate Stuff and Cut People Out and think that the surfacing of re-enactments of traumas from wars on our bodies is about the Other Person and not us, but it’s not. It is a collective reality that is putting many in harm. Often localized harm. And anyone with access to settler privilege has the ability to set up borders (or ‘boundaries’) yet flee freely." -----Goldman Sachse

A note to abled/non-disabled people interested in anti-oppression and social justice: Disability Justice is  social justice issue. It is about undoing harmful systems that promote capitalistic notions of independence and privileged hoarding of resources.  Make sure to show up and ask how you can help so the pressure is not solely on Disabled folks to ask--note that it is often traumatic for folks to continuously ask to exist. Access needs are just that: Needs. Not favors. Not optional.  It is about survival and the right to exist.

Let’s have a chat about this.
First, correlation is not causation. That’s a basic concept of scientific research and you’d think that a “health news” website would have a firmer grasp of that.
Second, a PhD from MIT making such a blanket statement predicting the rates of autism that will most probably cause a large amount of panic and only increase the fear mongering fire is extremely irresponsible.
Third, saying that the rate of autism has increased without also explaining that this trend is due to improved awareness and recognition of autism as well as changes in the diagnostic practice for autism spectrum disorders is also irresponsible.
Fourth, Health Impact News is not a credible source by any stretch of the imagination. This alone is proven by the fact that their tagline “news that impacts your health that other media sources may censor” reads like a journal from a paranoid alarmist.

Instead of caramel apples this Halloween, melt jolly ranchers in a 250 degree oven for around 5 minutes, then pour over your apples. Add edible glitter for the sparkling space effect!
