the final girl

the final girl comes out the other end of trauma alive- or, they were supposed to. honestly, you're not so sure you're really alive anymore. you saw the same hurt take those you were closest to while everyone paraded your bruises as bravery, as strength, as if you're the hero. and it hurts. you're tired and you don't want to have to be brave anymore. whatever you went through, it changed so much of who you were that you're still getting used to the person you see in the mirror. you didn't have a say in any of it, but you're here now, and that's gotta count for something. you'll make it count for something. but first, you need to let yourself find rest.

so naturally my sleep schedule is completely borked because of having the flu during a holiday.

last night i was like, on the cusp of sleep and i scared myself that i missed my dose of medicine in the evening! i need to take it! so at like 4 am i got up and grabbed an apple (have to eat with this medicine) and started haunching. then counted the blister pack and realized! i didn't miss my dose!

but was still eating the apple so i sat on the stool (kitchen island) and haunched my apple and had juice (ambrosia apple yum) running down my face.

my goblin ass looked like lord denethor eating the cherry tomato as his son was about to die in his name at 4 am with an ambrosia apple and my legs tucked up on this tiny kitchen island stool like a fucking gargoyle.

so that's where i am. how are you all?
