i just learned that it's warrior cats' 22nd anniversary TODAY (january 21)

AND it's snowing outside right now??! where i live, snow is extremely rare & we mainly get thunderstorms, so this is a nice surprise (for me at least, i know not everyone likes snow)

MEET: the founding members of TroutClan, complete with several redesigns!

Rogues that are distant descendants of Clan cats, they all lived their youth wandering the land on many whacky adventures until the majority of them became senior warriors, wanting to finally settle down at a permanent place they can call home.

(all of the cats in power are in their mid-50s)

Happy New Year!

While this isn't my first drawing of the new year, it's one from late last year that I finally got around to finishing this evening.

So meet... the second evolution for Graystripe, the water starter for The Prophecies Begins!

So... here's an explanation about his design + the inspirations below!

Out of the TPB starters, Graystripe's is the "awkward middle stage". What looks like a face is actually the patterns of his neck fur, which covers his real face! The "eyes" are actually his hair, with blue-colored debris caught in them (thanks to Twolegs polluting the streams).

The "whiskers" and "nose" along his neckfur act as feelers, allowing him to sense direction and detect changes in the air around him. This 'mon can't swim, so he wraps his bushy tail around his legs, which allows him to stay afloat.

Overall, inspirations for his 2nd evo are: buoys, Pallas' cats, and swimmers, and lifesavers/lifejackets!
