oh that's sounds good, I do hope you enjoy the pleasures of different sweets here on earth. My personal favorite is chocolate:) 💜
There is a range of chocolate treats. From dark to milk to fruity to spicy. The amount of variety in this one corner of sweets is staggering. Not that I mind, especially when Black Forest gateau exists. Is there a specific favorite of yours?

hello, loki how are you? This is the same Anon who had a bad day and I just wanted to thank you for making me feel better. You really are amazing loki💜
Oh, hello again. It still amazes me how one small act such as a hug can have such an impact. Currently I have a sugar craving. There seems to be no limit to Midgardian creativity when it comes to candies.

“Same here.”
Sure Loki had a bit of fun the last years, he did enjoy a play and a party, but that had all been with layers of clandestine authority and responsibility or danger. That and he had to order it or fight for it.
In Scott’s little house in San Francisco of all places, it was supposed to be a neat little trick, and Loki was so used to being met with frazzlement and annoyance. After a brief worry of having been poisoned, instead Scott was all wonder and joy. It was infectious.
The bioluminescence was returning to his skin and Loki gathered a few of the orbs in the air with his hands and they combined into a palm sized ball. He then floated it over to Scott. “Blow like you would on dandelion seeds.”
continued from here The buzz in his ears dissipated and Loki could hear what the man was saying. That was English. He made it to Earth somehow and by the man’s accent somewhere in the United States. Instead of being afraid of Loki, he was offering a hand. There was open kindness in the gesture and in the expression.
Huh.
Maybe Thor had been correct after all. There was more evidence Loki could be on Earth without everyone running away screaming from him.
Fantastic.
From the ground, Loki looked up to where the man was looking in the sky and didn’t see any threats for the moment, so he gripped the offered hand. He stumbled and the man responded by wrapping Loki’s arm around his shoulders. They got him to his feet. More kindness. Once he was on standing, he attempted to speak again to offer his thanks and introduce himself. Yet again there were no words since he was still healing from the attack.
Normally he would simply create illusions in the air of words, but without any seidr he resorted gesturing to his throat to signify his issue.

Shrink and grow. There it was - a large missing piece to the puzzle that was Scott Lang, what in the universe Loki was doing falling on his roof, and why he knew the Avengers. There was more, but it would come in a little time.
In the dark, that revealed fact and the sheer glee coming from the mortal made Loki grin. The effects of the firefly wine was one of Loki’s favorite things to play with and he couldn’t resist the opportunity for it and to show off. He was feeling much better from his injuries after all.
He summoned a little seidr, weaved it around his skin, and pulled-
The bioluminescence drifted off of him and localized in the palm of his hand. More would slowly appear on his skin as the wine metabolized, but for now his skin was returned to normal. He focused and his seidr blew at each individual bioluminescence molecule so they floated. They met up with each other and formed little spots in the air around the room.

It was an odd feeling, the relief over Scott feeling alright, so Loki didn’t dwell on it. Instead he watched the mortal’s reaction to the effect on his skin. He looked at his own hands and saw the shimmering glow and with Scott’s delight, it all brought a smile to his face.
“Yes, the wine is made with fruit and combined with materials collected from an Alfheim species of firefly. They’re different than the ones you’d be familiar with, more akin to bees and the honey they produce.”
The glow was pretty, but the room was too bright. “The effect is much more impressive in the dark.”

So Scott wasn’t a man who put credence into coincidences. That was promising for what, and who, Loki overheard was heading to the planet. They could discuss that later due to more pressing matters.
Loki kept up his smirk, and it turned into a little laugh in reaction to Scott’s laughter as looked at his glowing hand. It had been a few centuries since Loki had the privilege of introducing someone to firefly wine. At the last question, Loki titled his head and thought about mortals. It… should be fine? Fine.
“It’s a property of the wine that will metabolize with the alcohol and leave your body in the same amount of time.”
He leaned back in the chair and thought more. Except, metabolites of alcohol were technically toxic to mortals just short lived and he didn’t know about the substance that made skin bioluminescent. It would be just his luck to accidentally end the life of his host.
“You’re not… feeling ill, are you?”

“No, I don’t think you purposely sent for me.”
Loki kept his eyes on Scott. A family man, Scott made it a point to correct him in that. Family was a sore point for him and had been for the last years. When he finally got to an understanding with Thor they were torn apart. His father’s last words and seeing his mother for the brief few moments in Valhalla had unsettled him. He ignored it all and focused on the mortal.
“If our meeting is a coincidence in this vast universe, it’s a rather large one. Or do you disagree?”
He caught the effect of the firefly wine finally starting to show on both his and Scott’s skin. He couldn’t help but smirk. “Or perhaps you are special. You’re absolutely glowing, dear.”

Loki was the opposite of lost, thank you very much. He raised his snout from making a show of sniffing a fishing net and looked up at the mortal. He supposed he did make it look that way so it was a reasonable question. Good too, because there was much you could glean about a man from how he treated a lost and hungry animal.
There was caution in Sam’s face, so Loki had to make sure he didn’t frighten him. He was after all in the form of a breed of canine that hunted elk, bears, and wolves. Instead he pawed closer, kept his pointed ears relaxed, and sat.
In a specific calculation of the picture it conveyed, he let his left front paw off the ground a little at the same time as he made an audible sigh, not a whine exactly, but just high pitched enough to convey a tiny amount of distress.
starter for @mxtalwings
Perhaps he didn’t make the best choice in shapeshifting into a black Norwegian Elkhound for his little clandestine investigation in southern Louisiana. The breed was more suited to a cold climate, but it was what he was most familiar with. It was a cool early morning before the heat would really start, but he promptly changed into a lighter summer coat in preparation.
He padded into the boat yard and searched for his target. As he did, he got some looks. There were a few mortals that attempted to catch him or chase him away and one or two mortals with the opposite attitude bearing treats, but he easily avoided them. Even in canine form he was still a god and a sorcerer after all.
He found the boat named Paul & Darlene at what was presumably at its normal spot. The mortal he was curious about was on the pier. Perfect. He made himself look nonthreatening - relaxed ears, curled tail slowly and lazily moving, shoulders relaxed - got close, and sniffed at a wooden crate. Everything smelled of the sea and fish and it was turned up when he was in canine form. He moved on to a net and that was even more scented and waited to be noticed.

Valhalla. Mother. A purpose. Possibly anyway. Loki was keeping most of that close to his heart.
“A good question. However, you do forget that I’m not mortal.”
Discussing what had happened was affecting him too much so he steeled himself. He got out a version of events, and that led to other questions. As he poured more firefly wine into glass and wondered when the unique effects of the wine would show, he spoke,
“Even better questions, dear Scott Lang, electrical engineer, security consultant, ex-con with a specialty in burglary, and a relationship of some sort with the Avengers yet you do not expect them to visit and discover me here, are...”
He set down the bottle on the table. This all had to be as much about Scott as it was about him. He looked directly into Scott’s eyes.
“After all the recent and ongoing events out in the universe that may or may not end up here on this realm, what is the reason forces unknown manipulated circumstances to put us together? Who are you really?”
