ive been thinking about KPDH and how every single reaction ive seen of How It's Done.
And Like, that is pretty much the perfect introduction song. Aside from setting up their abilities perfectly and giving each girl character moments to be highlighted and a perfect demonstration of how them as popstars and them as demon hunters are the same job,
It's also got Rumi's note
Every time, every single time from KPop fans reacting, to vocalists reacting, to music producers and casual fans and rap fans and everyone else When they get to that note, to the buildup, to the animation of her mouth, face and body as she puts her EVERYTHING into the note, to the note itself, how it starts high, goes long and ends higher,
THAT is the moment where everyone is shocked, explodes in appreciation and locks the fuck in
Because yeah, it's a perfect moment, the animation especially is 1 to 1 absolutely realistic to how a person would have to move and act to pull off that note, especially with the mouth muscles,
But it's also the one moment that completely sells the idea that these girls have voices that can fight demons.
No one questions it after that, because they saw it work, the movie made them BELIEVE it in a way that previous movies made people believe in Superman, in Middle Earth or in a galaxy far far away
THAT moment made the movie I think, I believe it down in my soul that if that one moment hadn't been perfect, KPDH wouldn't have reached the memetic superstardom it has
god she even pulls the mike back like she actually has to be careful that her voice will blow the damn thing out what the Fuck
AND AND during that note, it immediately cuts to the two girls, the fans who can't believe what they just heard, who's souls and faces lit up because of that note, of Rumi's voice, and it's like, that's us! that is literally us the audience! That's the actual reaction of everyone ive ever seen react to that moment. So, fucking perfect

I want matchablossom to have a really bad fight in season 2. Not one of their little tiffs that they forget all about 5 seconds later. No, i mean serious conflict where both of them are genuinely pissed off at each other and strains their relationship.
I want to see how they work through something like that. Make them eventually have to admit/realize that they would prefer to have each other in their life

It's time to admit the truth....I am in my 30s. Please hold your gasps, but feel free to clutch your pearls. I sincerely doubt my job will care about my fanfic, though. In fact I put it in my resume. It's probably not why they hired me, but who can say. I don't do anything online I'd be ashamed of IRL.
Just so we don't lose sight of things, this person is trying to threaten my job- at a time where job security is shaky at best- because they don't like my opinions on a 20+year old cartoon. I don't want anyone to skip over how completely and utterly unhinged that is. I'm going to block this person, but I expect they probably have several dupe accounts to torment me with, because that's the sort of crazy obsessed this is giving. People like this make fandom- and life- exhausting.
Good night.

the biggest scam of all with the ao3 shit is people genuinely believing we NEED ao3 and ao3 alone.
the entire foundation ao3 is built on is one from past fic archives made to tailor to a certain demographic - harry potter fic authors were infamous for causing drama between fic archives, and this was only in the 90s/2000s. look at livejournal, ff.net, etc etc. ao3 has been lying to y'all for years into thinking there's no better options for storing and sharing fic. we can do better than ao3, and we have before.

sometimes it's very annoying to have a Problematic Blorbo, as they say, because people will make up stuff that they did, or take what other characters said they did at face value and then you have to be like "no that isn't true!!" and it makes you look deranged because then people will go "you're defending this guy?? who did [actual crimes]". YES they did the actual crimes NO they didn't do the other crimes
and then there's the ones who go "yes they did the crimes but it was BASED because it was [thing it most definitely was not]"

Been thinking about if Aaravos ever grieves the absence of his own former warmth. Grieves that he used to be bright and nurturing.
Does he miss the part of himself that has faded and withered?
I think he has the self-awareness to know that he's different than he was. But does he miss it?

okay sorry but I do have to say ONE THING-
TADC EPISODE 6 SPOILERS BELOW

So I think its pretty clear that this

Is about ribbit. So now I have an idea on how ribbit and jax's story went.
Maybe they WERE friends. Then ribbit started heading towards abstraction and started being a huge dick. Like, about Jax's level of tomfuckery. So eventually everyone started to avoid him. Jax, at this point, went the extra mile and treated him how he treats everyone else.
Then Ribbit abstracted and everyone sort of blamed Jax for it bc "omg Jax you wete sort of an ass to him what if you pushed him over the edge-" (bonus points if ragatha and Jax DID have a convo like this and thats why they have beef now). And all of this cements in Jaxs mind that he now HAS to be this "evil funny guy" character bc he cant really come back from this and everybody is sort of treating him like he can't anyways so why bother.
I think this also ties into episode 3's "the worst thing you can do is make somone think theyre not wanted" REALLY WELL. Bc thats what Jax did. He made Ribbit feel unwanted, so now hes gone, ans maybe everyone, even maybe just subconsciously, thinks its his fault. Even him.
Also, bonus, this. This. This.

Yeah no ragatha was literally me when I saw that-
All im gonna say about this is that "KINGER IS A PROGRAMER AND MADE THE CIRCUS" theory from way back when is looking REALLY INTRESTING RIGHT NOW-
Anywyas thats all, may update things later idk i still have soem processing to do, byeeee!!
