This is why I love Star Wars, it shows such emotional complexity and the “cause and effect” of those emotions. It shows you are responsible no matter how angry you feel. It shows you will have consequences if you’re selfish and entitled. It shows grooming and the dangers of a friendly face. It shows how your choices directly affect those around you. It shows how much a persona can change in one lifetime. It shows how unfair life can be.

But it does all this in such an obvious way that even kids know what’s going on and how it got to this point.

Star Wars really said "Anakin Skywalker had issues rooted in childhood trauma that was not his fault" but also "Anakin made his own choices as an adult for which he alone is responsible" but ALSO "In spite of the truly evil things he chose to do Anakin was still capable of being loved and redeemed" and I think that's important.

Shen twins au where the transmigration goes badly and instead of inhabiting Shen Qingqiu's body, Shen Yuan ends up in an identical body instead, and Shen Jiu just decides they're twins now - no discussion necessary.

They both have a system (SY is tasked with saving SJ, & SJ is tasked with character development, or something like that).

They both decide to troll the peaks by seeing how long it takes for anyone to notice there are two of them. Eventually it's found out and they further mess with everyone by claiming it's literally always been this way. (When asked, Yue Qingyuan confirms this with a straight face and then goes to the peak to get the true story.)

But, now that everyone knows they are twins, people begin to notice the differences and decide they like Shen Yuan better. He's so nice and Shen Jiu is such an asshole.

Except, someone makes the mistake of insulting Shen Jiu to Shen Yuan's face - and SY, born a hater died a hater, instantly unleashes the most caustic pissy vitriol, naming every character flaw and buried skeleton in their closet, and just absolutely destroys their reputation and self esteem in a rant that leaves everyone's ears ringing.

And people decide maybe they like Shen Jiu a little better. At least with him you know what you're getting. He might be an asshole but he's a straight forward asshole. Shen Yuan might be nice, but he's gathering your dark secrets and judging your character behind that sweet smile.

Getting back into writing but your brain is a drawer of folders with story ideas be like:

“Oh yeah, I remember that idea.”

“I still don't have the skill to write that.”

“That story is too long.”

“I don't even know how to start that one let alone end it.”

“Why did I want to write that?”

“Same story, different fandom.”

“Are there any stories that aren't fanfics?”

*picks up thin folder with 5 pages of notes and a 3-page attempt at a manuscript* “Ah.”

TMNT 2012 Casey Jones headcanon: he loves cheese.

I love the concept of a character sharing something with the things they fear, hate, etc. So I like to imagine that Casey Jones absolutely LOVES cheese. Cheese strings are his favourite since they’re an easy snack on the go. He fears rats but shares their favourite food.

This also makes me think of Casey and Master Splinter. Casey fears Splinter because he’s a giant rat but Splinter notices his love of cheese. So Splinter grabs two cheesicles and hands one to Casey to associate him with positive feelings. This eases Casey’s fear of him specifically; Splinter may not like Casey all that much but Casey is his son’s friend so he tries.

The Turtles are already urban legends of at least Manhattan, but I wonder how many Urban Legends, or random things that New Yorkers experience are because of the Turtles.

Like how many random noise complaints were because of one of them blasting music in the sewers.

Maybe one of them made an unusually loud noise that actually startled people, if only because no one could explain. (A small immature part of my mind wants to say a loud burp or fart...)

Maybe a number of people found things randomly fixed because one of the Turtles thought they broke it while messing around or from a fight.

Not to forget peoples devices picking up a locked Wi-Fi signal in the middle of nowhere, with a bit of a funny name... 'Mikey Stop Changing The WiFi Name And Password!' was passed around social media as 'Wifi Signal in the middle of the park changed it's name again!'
