As he looked up in the slowly darkening skies, the events that led him here flickered in his mind like an epileptic nightmare, images dancing and replaying before him.

He shut his eyes.

Green eyes wide in shock and a hint of fear.

If Leo hadn't been there to stop him, if he had... Would that Raph be sent back to where he had come from or would he have been just...gone? When those kids were sent back, would they remember? Be haunted by what almost happened, what was nearly taken from them? What he had already lost

He hoped not. He prayed not. Please, anything that could be listening, don't inflict that on them.

He rested an elbow against his knee, covering his eyes with his hand, as if to block out the images forward. His other hand clenched, dragging against the floor, coming to rest near a black puddle.

He breathed out, a single phrase escaping into the still air.
