this might sound like a “hot take”, but you don’t have to be strong all the time. you don’t have to be strong, period. you’re human, you were born to experience life and the full spectrum of human emotion! emotions and crying and fears and flaws don’t make you “weak.” they just make you as real as can be.

It's so frustrating. Having your brain convince you that everything you do is wrong. Or that everything you do isn't good enough. Fueled by anxiety of things that haven't even happened yet. Tears you didn't ask for. Just...stop. Please stop. Stop convincing me that no one is there. Stop telling me that I'm too much for people. Let me be calm. If I'm calm I can think better instead of thinking of ever possible scenario where things go horribly wrong. If I think calmly I can ask for help instead of struggling like this.

Thinking abt how not a single peep about not being a racist from the Bible

I learned recently that at least some tribes of early Britons (in particular the Silures and Picts) were actually dark-skinned people with curly black hair. Contemporary sources compared them to Iberians and even Africans.

This supposedly has to do with the fact that the original Celts were Iberian and their ancestors migrated across the strait of Gibraltar from Africa. The red-haired and pale look typically associated with Celtic identity likely comes from admixture from Germanic peoples. Remember that everyone’s ancestors came from Africa if you go far back enough.

Evidence of this phenotype can still be seen in some people today, particularly those from Wales and other western coastal regions. For example:

Welsh presenter Alex Jones

Welsh footballer Chris Coleman

Welsh actress Catherine Zeta-Jones who can notably pass for Hispanic.

English actor Ian McShane

It’s important to note that none of these people are immigrants or descended from immigrants. They all come from families native to the British Isles.

The take-home message here is A) don’t ever let anyone tell you British = pale and B) this

may actually be one of the most accurate versions of Guinevere we’ve seen so far.

being a girl and hitting puberty is so traumatic. you go from being a genderless little free thing to being hit with shaving and makeup and growing breasts and skincare and menstruation and suddenly being sexualised when like a few years ago you could take your shirt off to play in the stream and trade yugioh cards with the boys and come home covered in mud and not even think about it. and then you spend years hating being a girl and hating everything puberty did to you and wishing you could be a boy or be completely genderless again and it takes you Many years to come to terms with yourself Or you simply try to Lean In to everything and do makeup tutorials on YouTube and claim it’s for fun. like how can this be treated as normal
