Short Update

I only have time for a short update, but I most likely will not be attending AggieCon, and there’s a chance Austin Wizard Con might not happen either. Money has been a little tight, and schedules haven’t been working out very well recently. 

Also, follow my instagram luciebear_cosplay for more frequent updates and shenanigans! I’m much more active there, since I have it on my phone!

I’m hopping to start posting a little more regularly (both on insta and tumblr) but after spending 6 hours working in the cold rain, I’m only getting sicker :(  this is delaying that makeup tutorial since I barely have enough energy to keep up with my school work (and I have 2 exams this week) but it will come out eventually, promise! 

I hope everyone had a wonderful Valentine’s Day, mine was rough with work and freezing rain, but I got to spend the day with old and new friends, so I’d say it was a pretty good day, overall!

small aside update

well the plan was to film the makeup tutorial for yuuri...but my camera kept cutting out, i’m dead exhausted (and sick), i have to get up early and work tomorrow, so all that happened tonight was i finished up the look and took a few more selfies with snapchat filters (and captions woot) i’ll post them tomorrow, since i need sleeps

Cosplay Status: Feb 2017

Happy almost-Valentine’s Day! I’ll be spending my Valentine’s Day with Mystic Messenger studying for my calculus exam!

February Update!

I’m currently working on a makeup tutorial for Yuuri and Yoon Bum! I’ve almost finalized my Yuuri look, I just need time to film. Still looking around at shirts for the Yoon Bum cosplay, hopefully I’ll be able to stop by some second-hand stores in upcoming weekends since everything I’ve found on ebay is XL+......and I’m not XL+............

On a side note, I will be cutting my hair soon! Which, on it’s own doesn’t sound dramatic, I should’ve said I’ll be donating my hair soon! Around 17-18in of it (my hair goes all the way down my back, and with college, I don’t time to maintain my beautiful flowing tresses). Hopefully this will help with some of the wig malfunctions I’ve had recently, and prepare me for the possibility that I might have boy-short hair by 2018 (personal preference, I like experimenting). There will be before and after pictures, because I’ll miss my mermaid hair...maybe..

I was able to work with my wig/makeup/cosplay pieces and now I don’t have to spend money, hooray!! Operation Katsudon has begun! I’ll be posting some recent selfies of the cosplay soon, since I did a makeup/wig test today. If anyone else is doing a Yuri!!! On Ice cosplay I’d love to see pictures of your beautiful selves!!

Uhhhh…..Cybertron. Oooooor maybe…..no, Cybertron actually sounds pretty good.

I always like shape-shifting, but energy manipulation looks so cool (same with telekenisis).

Cosplay Status - Jan 2017

I can’t believe 2017 is finally here! So much happened in 2016 I never thought it’d end... but a new year means new cosplays!

Cosplay updates! I recently got a Yuuri Katsuki cosplay, but sadly it is made from low quality fabrics and will need to be replaced should I want to take this cosplay to multiple cons (which I do). I’ve worn the jacket only three times and the pocket lining already has a hole my phone can fit through :( My wig finally came in (a month late), but it’s gonna need some styling (and maybe some trimming) before I post pictures. I’ll try to make a short tutorial when I have time to style it! Also I will most likely be making a makeup tutorial for Yuuri after I’ve styled my wig :0

One of my sinning friends got me into Killing Stalking so I also may be doing a few casual cosplays (depending on budget) of Yoon Bum, as well as a makeup tutorial!

side note/very short psa: Yoon Bum and Sangwoo do not have a healthy relationship. they aren’t healing each other. the story is super messed up and the characters are extremely mentally unstable. that is all.

Upcoming cons plans! This spring I really wanted to cosplay Yuuri Katsuki (my original plan) but I don’t know if I can afford a whole new cosplay (the one I’m looking at will set me back a little over $100). I may be building it myself, depending on my financial situation. Since the con is the at the end of March, I’ll be making my final decision early-mid February. May end up fixing up my Robin cosplay for the sake of time and money.

Hello wanderers! I'm LucieBear, a cosplayer based out of Austin and College Station, TX. I live in College Station as a full time student at Texas A&M studying Visualization, but I always go home in the fall for Austin's Comic Con. I have been cosplaying for about 5 years now, and so far I have cosplayed Captain Jack Harkness, Peter Parker (I was the photographer that year), the Winter Soldier, as well as Bucky Barnes in Bucharest (Civil War). My cosplay dream is to be a cause-player and get together with a group of cosplayers for charity (& fun!). I love photography, drawing, reading, making terrible puns, and my cats. The next few posts will have my current cosplaying status and plans, as well as the “Cosplay Fam Application” I mentioned in my “Cosplay Fam” tab. As I gain followers, I will most likely post more about myself, or have Q&A videos. At the moment, I do not have a youtube account for my cosplay, but I will be creating one soon for my tutorials, builds, and cosplay videos (this is also where I will post Q&A’s).
