Lyta’s actions stopped being justified the minute she started harming innocent people. There’s zero excuse for that, grief is never an excuse for monstrous actions. Plus, there were countless times where she could have listened to the people around her, to Ms Shore who knew something wasn’t right-Hell she could’ve listened to Dream when he straight up told her “I did not take your son and I’m here to help” but no. She chose to take vengeance, she chose to not listen to reason, she followed Hettie, a woman she didn’t even fucking know into a random house and chose to take vengeance with the kindly ones-She chose to do all these things and I’m tired of people using grief as some sort of get out of jail card. Because doing so minimizes and excuses her bad actions.

You mentioned that there are some animal story comics that you very much enjoy. Would you recommend some titles for an interested reader?

RJ here. Here's some I personally recommend:

Beyond the Western Deep - A Redwall-style comic that focuses on the aftermath of a confusing and complex conflict between two rival kingdoms.

Scurry - A mouse-centred comic which follows the struggles of a mouse colony living on a disused farm.

Africa - After losing her territory to a rival, a leopard and her two cubs must search for a new home.

Tofauti Sawa - A comic about the struggles of a hyena matriarch.

Fox Fires - A comic based on the Finnish "fox fires" myth.

Ghost of the Gulag - Comic about a blind tiger and how he fits into the conflicts of the Russian taiga. Against his better judgement.

Golden Shrike - A comic about deer for any deer fans out there, which focuses on a brother and sister duo after they are forced to leave their herd.

No North - A dog-based comic with some Wild West influences. An aspiring writer and a plucky outlaw are thrown together and set off on an adventure that is centred around a malfunctioning, "northless" compass.

Wurr - After a long and bloody war between their kind and the dogs beyond their crater, a pack of hellhounds are driven from their land and into the lands ruled by the dogs. Shit gets real.

Rabbit Hole - A dark story that focuses on what can be described as a fanatical cult of rabbits who partake in sacrificial ritual.
