Kaigaku Week Day 5 Peaches/Magatama

The earth was a beautiful thing if one needed it to be, or if one wanted to make it become that way. And in a way, it was both to him in the end. The sweet smells of flowers and grass encouraging his lungs. Combined with the warmth of the sunlight warming his muscles and urging them on. Both made him feel as light as a feather on his mere feet and the ground felt soft under him where he sat. 

He sat there staring at the beautiful blue sky with fluffy clouds rolling by with the wind guiding them along and the sun shining upon them giving them that beautiful white color. Taking a deep inhale of the air blowing over him, he looked around. Lush greenery stretched as far as the eye could see. The sounds of wind rustling through the wild fruit trees and the occasional sound of falling fruit hitting the ground accompanied birds singing. The smells of fruit and flowers floating about and filling his lungs with the sweet scents. 

The sweet taste of peach stung his taste buds, juice dripping down his chin as he sat there amongst the grove and looking up at the pink fruit hanging on the branches above him. Every so often one would fall to the ground with a thud. 

"We're never going to have enough to sell if you keep eating them." Dark eyes stared up at the woman with a large basket at her feet. Her face unimpressed. "Why don't you stand up and help me? We could fill my basket a lot faster, and then you could eat all the peaches you want."

He smirked back wiping his mouth on the back of his sleeve. "What's wrong with getting my fill in now?"

"You promised to help me gather fruit to sell. That's what's wrong with it." Her hand pointed to the basket. 

"You only wanted my help cuz you're too short to reach the high branches." His smirk widened as her pout deepened. She was cute. Like an annoyed puppy. "Relax. We have all day to gather fruit."

"Putting things off until the last minute is why you get in trouble with Mr. Jigoro so much." She sighed and crossing. "What am I going to do with you-?! EEP!?!?"

She let out a squeal as a hand wrapped around her wrist, and a moment later she was pulled down to be pulled against a bigger body. Arm wrapped over her and a smirk given once she shot a glare at him from where she sat. 

"Jerk!" 

"Yet you're mine.~" A 'hmph' sound escaped her when a chast kiss was pressed to her head quickly. "Wait a little, then I'll help you with your shirt problem."

"Keep it up and you'll sleep outside on the engawa."

"Yeah, yeah. Then a big bad demon will get me I know." He rolled his eyes. "You threaten me with that every time you're annoyed. But you're lucky I care about you so much, cuz I got a gift for you." Her face perked in interest as he reached into his pants pocket, a moment later something blue and beautiful was held up to her. "Here."

Her eyes widened immediately recognizing it. "A magatama?"

Dark eyes looked down as she looked at him in question. "Yes...I-...Wanted something to let everyone else know that you're mine." A ring wouldn't do and..he was too scared to offer a ring only to be rejected. Besides this was more sentimental. "It's a necklace. Turn around."

She did. Turning her back to him and moving her hair to allow him to tie the chain around her neck and letting the blue charm hang around her neck. Her hands caressed the smooth surface of the magatama before turning back to him as he cleared his throat.

"Just be grateful. I used a lot of my hard earned money to get you one so don't- ?!" 

He never got to finish that sentence when hands grabbed his cheeks and lips attacked his mouth.
