1st house is your first layer, “the mask you forget you’re wearing.” The use of the word “mask” doesn’t mean it’s superficial, but that it is the part of the personality you are conscious of, where you may seem sure of yourself or where you would like to be sure of yourself. It is how the world perceives you (and vice versa). It’s very out there, I think people often complain about first house planets especially because these people genuinely cannot hide that part of themselves. Even “secretive” planets like moon and Pluto are open books
The 4th house IS you at your core, your private safe haven and emotional coping mechanisms and habits you acquired and take with you as you grow. It is also insight into the latter years of life, the positives and comforts of where you came from or what makes you emotionally feel safe tends to be how we want our older years to play out. It’s bittersweet
The 7th house is the shadow of the 1st house but again, the use of the word “shadow” is neutral, it can go either way. It is “you in the other.” We learn more about our selves through others but also we are that for other people. Relationships also develop our sense of judgment and equity.
The 10th house is where we are going, who we will be at our peak maturity (which differs per person) or it is what we would LIKE to be and where we’d like to go. What we want to give back to the world. This house develops our sense of responsibility and our need to find where we “belong”

Nocturnal Venus
Whereas Venus awakens in her Libran day house, she sleeps in her Taurean night house, introspective and earthbound.
Venus is the handheld mirror ♀ and this is not only limited to reflection, but also symbolizing what one perceives as beautiful and enchanting. What one finds beautiful can heavily relate to what they appreciate and value, concepts that are intertwined with core views; the sign or planet in the 2nd house shows where one holds strong, unyielding fundamental beliefs.
The 2nd house also shows the capacity for utilizing resources and how one goes about accumulating (or losing) these resources, such as belongings or finance/income, which serve to build a personal foundation. Resources are not limited to the items gained in physical world, but can refer to skills of the character one uses prior to obtaining what they want. Maybe a Gemini 2nd house is excellent with bargaining because there is a skill of the tongue regarding those matters, or a 2H Saturn can have an awareness surrounding business/how the public functions, so resources are easily acquired from that knowledge. As resources assemble overtime, they are also used to obtain desires, and this is why long term goals and persistence of achieving those goals can be found in the 2nd house.
Nocturnal Venus is the dual sense of personal security one wants for themselves. In one way, it is the hyper-consciousness of the physical body and the wish to find inner richness within that body, as in, peace of mind regarding the self-perception. In another way, it is the sense of security wanted in the material realm; goals like finding a home, a reliable relationship, or perhaps a steady income.
And of course, this is the nighttime house in which Venus finds rest, and so typically the sign or planet found in this house shows the way in which one relaxes, indulges and seeks out pleasure. Perhaps a lunar 2nd house finds homemade meals and sleeping in as relaxing, or a 2H mars may find pleasure in physical activity.
Taurus and her 2nd house govern all matters of nocturnal Venus, including pleasure and desire, one’s personal definition of wealth, resource and resilience, the dual security concept, value and of course, one’s personal perception of beauty. There’s also an affiliation with artistry, aesthetic taste, luxury, melody, sensuality and indulgence.

i've been focusing deeply on not giving a shit about what people think. if i notice my thoughts going down that path, then i shut them down. i'm not trying to read anyone's mind. i'm just going to be myself and try my best. if i fuck up, then i fuck up. if i look stupid, then i look stupid. everyone looks stupid, sometimes. it's so much more important to be yourself earnestly and passionately, in all of your stupid glory

:: Chiron and your pain :: part one
- part two will be Gifts of Chiron -
These are not all applicable, just some examples that you may experience. Aries: Aggressive home life, feeling lonely like all you have is yourself, hard to control or understand your anger, life is seen as something to “survive” as oppose to “living.” Deemed an outcast, which may cause identity and self esteem issues. Sees everything as a threat, very distrustful of others. Others may perceive you as moody and childish. Physical and mental energy can be low, so the approach towards passion doesn't feel worth fighting for.
Taurus: Money struggles were constant throughout life. You have a sense of not being appreciated, you also experience situations where you’ve worked so hard but the outcome is close to nothing. Envy over others who can afford nice things. Unsure of what is important to you, distorted sense of morals and even your physical body. There were people in your life who have taken things from you, or made you feel as though you don't deserve anything. Difficulty seeing the “beauty” in life.
Gemini: Ideas are shot down by others, may experience a pattern of being interrupted when speaking. Can feel as though they are not smart enough. A very high strung demeanor. You may easily feel overwhelmed and anxious. Sometimes you limit yourself by having these excellent ideas, but you just can't seem to put it all together. Poor communication skills. It might have been hard to make meaningful relationships. Others may have perceived you as superficial. You were often not taken seriously by others.
Cancer: Early home life did not feel safe enough. In other cases, the home life simply fell empty, and it could have been perceived as abandonment despite parents/guardians being physically present. Poor emotional regulation, causing a disconnect from intuition. Possessed with the instinct to hide away and become avoidant, people may see this as immature. At risk for acquiring a dependent personality. Can be put in situations where they have to put others first and neglect their own needs.
Leo: The desire to feel special always feels far away. Didn't really get to "have fun" early on, causing a rigid and bleak view of life. There was a lack of inspirational figures in your life. Tendency to doubt yourself and crumble your self esteem. You might find "joy" in the wrong places, for the wrong reasons. Creativity is difficult to manifest. Other's could have made you feel unworthy. You may catch the habit of comparing yourselves with others.
Virgo: Uncertainty has always felt like an enemy personified. Lack of structure causes a muddled mind. In other cases, structure is present, but guardians are not, causing a lack of emotional building. This makes emotions and healing abilities feel foreign. There's a possibility of unhealthy habits appearing. Judgmental towards others and yourself. Can have excellent skills and ideas, but mental stress makes it difficult to articulate. There is a lack of self care, you don’t see yourself as someone who deserves care.
Libra: The identity is unclear, because you're not true to yourself. Identity can also be uncertain due to reflecting other people's temperaments and habits. Can feel like life is always "unfair." At risk of falling into dependency in relationships. Prone to envy. Opinions are vague, so you can be indecisive. Chronic sense of loneliness fuels a desire to be connected. There was vague sense of not feeling important; unlovable. It is often that this position causes a pattern of hurt in relationships.
Scorpio: Life has given you the role of a scapegoat. You find it difficult to trust anyone, even yourself. Craves stability, but circumstances in life prevents a sense of security and safety. This position is often victim to gas-lighting. Lies were common to escape closeness, or simply out of denial. People in your life may have made you feel powerless. At times, you fear the extent of your emotions, as emotional pain feels unbearable. May have lost things important to you throughout life.
Sagittarius: Your world feels cramped, suffocating. A yearning for something "more." Apt to seek a special purpose to base your life on. With no purpose, you feel you're just drifting through life. You probably weren't allowed to be care-free or free-spirited, causing a very cynical perception. In other cases, prominent life events lacked any stability and chaos follows you everywhere. Other people may perceive you as someone who is foolish, and unknowledgeable.
Capricorn: It's as though the world was thrown on your shoulders from the beginning. There is a pressure to succeed, but not always within the context of career or standing. Avoidance of flaws when they are inherit is soul crushing, apt to feel on edge under a collected face. In other cases, there’s a coldness you reflect from how prominent figures in the life treated you. People may have perceived you as “lazy” even when you’ve tried your hardest. Can be untrusting of things that seem to “come easy.” You’re not familiar with being rewarded. There is nothing people can say about what you lack, that you have not told yourself already.
Aquarius: A see-saw sense of feeling trapped in, or feeling outcasted. Relationships are difficult to keep. People often belittled your beliefs and opinions. It was common for you to be left out of groups for being “different” in some way. You’re intellect is questioned and you were made to feel like you weren’t “bright.” Sometimes you stayed in a friendship circle despite not being treated like a friend, all you ever wanted was genuine loyalty. Life always seemed disorderly, causing an anxious temperament. On the other hand, life may have felt uneventful, causing a more restless temperament.
Pisces: Disconnection. This is the state you’re familiar with. A very wishful person. The fantasy in your mind was an escape from the unfortunate and mundane parts of life. Can feel out of place, for example, feeling an “adoption” kind of complex in your own blood family. Pessimism can plague you, as events in the life have felt doom and gloom. Times you were hopeful we’re often shot down. You feel whatever forces at hand (god, fate, universe etc.) are actively against you. There is almost an expectation of disappointment, and a feeling of being “unlucky.”

Inconjunct :: Yod
Something common with the inconjunct is the compartmentalization of planets. Because the planets completely ‘miss’ each other (difference in modality, element and duality), the indvidual can often subconsciously let one planet express itself over the other instead of allowing them to work together. It is neither a fully beneficial or fully detrimental aspect, but rather, astrologers Oken and Tompkins both describe the aspect as “stressful” to emphasize the perpetual irritation and neuroticism it makes one feel; Tompkins describes this as having a messy kitchen among chaos in other components of an individual’s life. The harsh aspects like squares, oppositions and sometimes conjunctions are the “chaos,” which often cannot be ignored, and the inconjunct is the unpleasant “mess in the kitchen” one comes home to, but being too occupied by the chaos to actually clean it up. Hence, the inconjunct is a subconscious issue one doesn’t consider as serious as others but is still extremely bothersome and simply builds onto other negative circumstances in life, causing a restless temperament. The indvidual very much feels the effects of an inconjunct, but thinking of the matters involved is too confusing, tense and frustrating so one conditions themselves to suppress these issues.
The inconjunct becomes more prevalent in the aspect pattern known as the yod, sometimes known as the “Finger of Fate.” The subconscious pull of the inconjunct is here (the underlying inconvenience that adds to the disarray of one’s life) but it is intensified to make an indvidual feel like there is a purpose that must be fulfilled (according to the planets involved). Due to the nature of the inconjunct, this ‘fate’ might be an unwanted one. The feeling of being meant for something greater lingers however, so the indvidual may always try to seek out fulfilling circumstances without realizing the meaningfulness they are looking for is the one they are already given by forces unseen, the one they continue to push away. Regardless, a yod is a powerful aspect pattern, it can seem like one is being forced into events beyond their control involving the planet/house at the apex point by means of the two planets ‘pointing’ to it.
Tumblr media
For instance, in this image the Finger of Fate is pointing to mars (apex) with the planets pluto and saturn. This person may be thrown into situations where their motivations, instincts and energy must be activated within the area of self-development, path for the future and public recognition (mars in the 10th). This may occur through emotionally powerful change, confronting fears of communication and overcoming suppressions of the mind (pluto in the 3rd) as well as severe discipline, perseverance and facing the feeling of ‘obligation [to responsibility]’ within the area of the developing identity, way in which one perceives life and what one brings to existence from their self-expression (saturn in the 5th).
The appearance of the sextile in the yod is of great significance; It is an aspect of talent and opportunity ❇ as in, these individuals typically have tools (gifts) they can call upon only if consciously activated, otherwise they go to waste or rather, one misses many opportunities to take action where change is needed. This plays a vital role in the Finger of Fate; one’s unique task and sense of ‘meaning’ and purpose is only summoned when taking initiative. The pressure of the inconjunct finds relief through the possibility of the sextile.

How to merge Mars, Jupiter and Neptune into one entity? They work cross-purposes 😞 (In two signs snd two houses too 😞).
When I think of Neptune and Jupiter, I think of their similarities. Both spiritual, both having a concept of openness (Jupiter’s expansion, Neptunes limitlessness due to lack of boundaries). I think of Neptune’s over-idealizations and Jupiter's exaggerated perception. In addition, these planets have residence over giving and charitable acts, along with self-denial and escapist tendencies.
When mars is involved, we see how these planets flavor the assertive, fighting, enduring, passionate and survival nature. There can be a struggle with anger suppression (Neptune) that builds up and is dealt with inappropriately, whatever that may be (Jupiter). Other times, anger could just feel alien and the mars fighting tactic is to run away. There can be a lot of big promises, big dreams and goals that don’t materialize past the mind. Facing the truth is something they dread, as it will shatter and challenge what they believe. There’s also a susceptibility to being taken advantage of, and difficulty being focused on anything direct.
Something to remember though, Jupiter is the greater benefic, and Neptune is the higher octave of Venus. These are great advantages. A stellium suggests what the person is willing to put effort and energy into. That being said, with this combination we have someone who wants to give and heal, to stand by the underdogs, utilize creativity in helpful ways, understand those who are misunderstood, and find even the simplest things of life meaningful. Mars intensifies the moral compass (Jupiter). In this stellium, we may also see activations of an artistic, imaginative undertone (Neptune). Having freedom and their own space to work or be alone clears a path for dreams that once seemed unreachable. At their best, this cluster makes for a rationally hopeful individual, as well as someone who can use empathy skills while still being logical. Jupiter opens the mind, Neptune inspires the heart, and mars is the conduit to put things into motion.

There's a lot of hype around stelliums but more on what it is, rather than the aspect that creates it. The conjunction is such a powerful aspect! Lets say you have moon, mercury, venus conjunct to each other making it a stellium. It's no longer moon, mercury and venus as separate entities. It is now merged as a new planet: moocuryenus 😂

I have a 3rd grade student on my caseload who has adhd (along with others, I'm a special needs educator). His parents know, but refuse to medicate him. There's not much we can do about it except respect the parents' choices. They're those parents who don't "believe" in vaccination or whatever so they are convinced medicine will ruin him somehow. He struggles so much in classes and you can see the mental fatigue and mild panic when given directions that he can't even grasp in his mind for too long. He desperately tries so hard to be a good student (and a good friend too!) So when I'm working with him, once he gets distracted I just chant his name, or chant what I was saying, and it actually brings him into focus. He thinks it's funny too. The people I work with all say stuff like "he's awful he never pays attention" "he doesn't work for me" "I think he's just faking it and being lazy" and much more, but you know what? It's not him, it's the people around him. You can't expect a child to conform to your personal methods, it's your job to adapt to their way of learning. If rapid repetition works for him, and doesn't stress him out, you know damn well I'm going to use it. If there comes a day where it's no longer effective, then I try something else. This applies to all special needs kids, no matter their level of functioning, but they really need to be surrounded by patient individuals. These kids can't succeed if they're always being punished by an educator's (or adult) lack of flexibility.
