Grounded - A very overgrown Willow Creek Save File

Good afternoon, everyone! The other day, I posted a small teaser about a save file I've been working on.

I turned Willow Creek into a very run down and overgrown town, with many new off-lot places to see and visit. I was getting tired of loading screens and needed more sneaky places for my sims to be delinquents, thus grounded was born.

I am planning to do the other worlds, which I've already started but they are not done so please disregard those lol.

This is probably my favorite save I've done so far because it fits my aesthetic the most, so I hope you all love it too! Please let me know if you come across any issues or anything that makes no sense, I'm open to feedback! this is only version 1, so it's very much still a WIP. I've had a lot of fun playing in it so far!

MOD «TALKS BY AGE» | Children

Add 14 new social interactions to the game to make kids’ lives more dynamic and engaging. Children can now talk about funny or deeply important (at least to them) topics — from arguing over nothing and inventing a secret language to telling scary legends or discussing the monster under the bed. They can also ask to get a pet or build a treehouse. These two specific interactions trigger not only a moodlet but also a custom notification that reflects the adult’s reaction — whether they agree or skillfully dodge the topic.

this save file is getting on my NERVES yall. BUT I think it is about 96% complete and should be re-released in just about a week. I have to reupload the CC files but everything is pretty much the same! I've changed a few lots around so willow creek looks a bit different, but I think it looks better now!

hello everyone! thank you for continuing to follow along with my save file progress. Tonight, I am releasing an UNFINISHED version of the save file I've been working on for 7 months.

not all the worlds are finished. I am currently actively working on Willow Creek and Oasis Springs.

the most finished worlds are: magnolia promenade, winbenburg, san myshuno, forgotten hollow, strangerville, sulani, glimmerbrook, britechester, evergreen harbor, mt. komorebi, henford on bagley, tartosa, copperdale, san sequoia, chestnut ridge, tomarang, ciudad enamorada

still need to complete: willow creek, oasis springs, newcrest, brin bay, del sol, moonwood mill, ravenwood

some sims are still very naked and bald because I kept downloading and deleting cc, I am aware of them and I am working on getting them all fixed up BEFORE the official release, so dont be surprised!

we are almost there !! but I wanted to share this unfinished version in the meantime just so that you can all get a feel for it!

please read the 2 included PDFs before downloading to make sure you download everything properly! this is very CC heavy, check for duplicates.

Actually im not gonna shut up about this simmerkate charging 25 pounds for a tutorial on how to make arguably the easiest piece of cc one could make (clutter, decor, non functional decorative shit) is making me shake from anger

Its literally 1-import mesh into blender 2- import Blender fileand Textures into package 3- save and add to game

There that line i just wrote appearantly is worth 25 dollars in her opinion

This is a call to anyone that has done a sims 4 cc tutorial for free in the past, the only way to nip this in the bud is for all of us to refurbish/ rewrite/update those tutorials and put them out for free again please do this if you have an old tutorial sitting there collecting dust.

Also free cc creators this is the time to put what you know into tutorial form and publish it. Please dont gatekeep as that makes it possible for people like simmerkate to scam people for the simplest things.

Im so tierd of this im so sick of it if i could finish writing the tutorials im writing in 5 mins and publish them i would cause wtf is this...

has anyone had this glitch/bug before?

all my lots in Willow Creek are EXTREMELY cheap, and give me an endless loading screen when I try to enter them...

in Newcrest and in every other world, the lots are the right prices and the game loads perfectly fine.

I cant find anything only about this and I have NO idea how to fix it. I may have to repair my game, but then I'd have to update lol. anyways, have any of you ever seen this??

hii ~ firstly ty for your save file, i love how there's so many things to see & explore and im so excited to play it, you're soo talented!! the thing is i that can't seen to make it work :(( i tried to download everything correctly but i keep getting BE errors with Kiara's Celebrity System or "drama_scheduler", and if i take out all of the career mods the game kinda works but i think it wont feel the same :( i was just wondering if the save it's working fine for u? 🥺 dk where i got it wrong

hey angel!! so sorry for the delay, ive been MIA due to a loss in my family.

You can play it without the celebrity system! I get the drama_scheduler because I altered my in-game time using MCCC, but if you set it back to its original speed [I believe 25?] it should go away! I think that pops up because changing game speed messes with the game calendar and it doesn't reset until a full in-game year passes and then the calendar recalibrates itself.

I'm not sure if its all of Kiara's mods giving you issues, that would suck if so, but try removing that & then making sure your MCCC game time is the standard and lmk how that goes!

pro tip: never finish a save file and then decide 8.5 months later to delete 20gb of cc ... it took me an extra week to recheck and redo almost ALL the lots, and there are still 150+ sims I still have to redo in CAS =]

laurel went to visit her favourite plant shop + cafe in finchwick. they have a cute, communal garden over there and she loves to care for it. what's better is that since she nurtures so many of the plants in there, she gets to ... swipe a few for herself without guilt. I mean, its her keeping them alive, no?

why is it so hard to scroll and see cute cc that you are able to immediately download. why is everything behind a paywall. like a set of 30 items, ok sure whatever,,,, but a single recolor? allow me to introduce you to Indeed.com

SO, some good news and bad news

good news: I managed to remove 22gb from the save file in order to make it less CC-Heavy for everyone downloading. The CC folder is now currently sitting at 42gb as opposed to the almost 70gb. Most of the storage is from the build/buy folder [20gb] which I cleaned up a LOT but its lowkey hard af for me to remove my BB CC lol, I love it too much.

bad news: I now have to give makeovers to even more homes and sims and the save file is therefore delayed even further so that nothing looks weird af. wish me luck, Im tired, grandpa
