Y = you! me! dancing! by los campesinos! (i have vastly misjudged the popularity of los campesinos due to the fact they defined a whole lot of my junior high listening habits. no one knows this band..........)

N = no care by daughter (love you forever daughter. my mind was blown when the person who wrote youth and home and other such slow sad songs dropped this song + fossa. also i could fucking kill this at karaoke i have it memorised)

X = xxxxxx by teen suicide (cly found this for meeeeee but i did actually listen to this on soundcloud as a young lad... I think i was mostly drawn to the fact the band's name was teen suicide. also the whispering/glitching part in this. yeah the pattern of my music taste holds)

X = xx by doglantic (another cly find!! and also the only new song to me on this list. however doglantic sounds sooooo similar to like. a billion other shoegaze bands i couldn't tell u if i've never listened to them before...)

(extra X: plague X by midwife. this is the only X related song I personally found... midwife makes some great drone music...)

I = I don't know what I can save you from by kings of convenience (this song throws me back to being 13........ listening to playlists on 8tracks on repeat. i still remember the other songs on that playlist . unironically formative for my music taste)

emile: listens exclusively to French music bc he's the worst. doesn't notice but its only female vocalists and really grungy beats and like. the kind of songs you just kind of resentfully sway to in a bar/listen to when you're hungry and only had a black ice coffee this morning should we call bella hadid. anyway

ty: Spotify top 100 new music. other than that it's like. pop girl music and really bouncy sort of glitch pop rap? I wish spotify had genre tags. he loves 100 gecs....

vanya: russian goth music. in english he likes aggressive/dark/atmospheric rap even though he can't understand it very well. probably would love death grips
